So Republicans don't support the Confederacy? That's odd, many Republicans I know proudly wear Confederate gear, own Confederate flags, etc.
When you get right down to it, it's a matter of Capitalism vs. Socialism. Babies, guns, religious and personal freedoms figure in there also.
The South is red is as it gets and also where you see a lot of Confederate gear. Hell, people here in WV (red state) own lot of Confederate gear here in southern part despite WV being a border state, not a Confederate state.
Currently, we are still free in America, equally under the law. You can't codify hearts and minds no matter what the liberal left thinks and says.
Free as most other countries + guns.
I will say this about a country that boasts loud and proud about freedom, we sure do lock up many people. We lock up more people than many countries combined. For a country that boasts loud and proud about freedom, we have many laws. Laws upon laws. How come Republicans never stand up against that? Doesn't less laws promote small government and isn't small government what Republicans preach? Yet, they always lick the boot when it comes to that.

And we are possibly watching it with Trump pending Mueller investigation. Too many of his associates linked to Russia. Reminds me of Rick Pitino prostitution case. Others take the fall while the leader says he had no idea what was going on.
And to be technical, we have went through 16 years of ****, not just 8 years. As I've been saying, Republicans and Democrats are both terrible.
