I think most of us know Frost is probably out by year end. My question is how quickly can a new guy come in and flip this.
Imo one thing this staff as done decent at is bring in b1g level talent. The new hc should have the pieces here to build and have success fairly quickly. Will need to go get a transfer qb short term

We have talent to win the west, we need a quarterback and a lot better offensive line coaching.

All the good recruits have left. You can’t base our talent on recruiting rankings without removing those guys from the equation.

I’m also not convinced Frost is gone. Too much money.

Buyout may seem like a lot but if you keep him another year and Martinez comes back how much money are you going to lose over the long term in ticket sales and merchandise sales and to fan boredom. His team isn't going to change. He is unwilling to change his coaching style. You have to look at the long term also. Is it worth it to keep him for another Mediocre season?

A Mediocre season is being extremely generous

I agree with you. Just hoping the athletic department does too.

Money has never been an issue. I don't think it will be this time.

I'm a IU fan so I'll give you a outside opinion for what it's worth. Quarterback play should be a lot better considering his experience. Decision making and penalties are holding this team back. I was hoping to see Scott Frost turn this program around. So many games have been lost for the above reasons. Good luck the rest of the way..

I’m concerned the implosion that has begun will lead a lot of talent to search for greener pastures, and many will feel broken and defeated after the effort they put in for no results.
The fall of the Big 12 and extra covid year could tighten up the transfer market even more, and improve our midwest recruiting.
Combined with still being a decent market for NIL hopefully, it’s possible to envision “at least a chance” for a quick rebuild.

But it requires a stellar hire (including all assistants), maybe a little luck, and it will still be an uphill climb as we’ve fallen deep into the abyss.

I know personally I usually buy Huskers gear this time of year (even though adidas makes terrible stuff). This year I’ve made the decision I’m only buying if we win. And I’m a naive pollyanna who always believes the silver lining is right around the corner in Lincoln. Don’t know that I’ll be able to stomach watching the OU game

OU- how many points do they want to score? Remember they will be hungry for a brutal beating. They still think there was a clip call missed on Johnny the jets return which cost them the game.

NU- 0. Can't trust kicker to score.

Not trying to be a dick, but based on what? Nebraska doesn’t exactly have guys lining up to leave for the NFL early. They returned a lot of super seniors that would probably be cut at this point if they signed FA contracts this last spring.
