Yeah he's pissed because someone answered his question lol.

He seems really all out of sorts. The internet has been around long enough that the real basement dwellers have mostly died off, but... sometimes you still find a unicorn, I guess.

Back to the topic at hand. I have no idea who these guys are, but a comment on Wimbush from Rutgers Football Facebook page (the definitive source of rumors after Subway):

Michael Valazza I’ve already posted two weeks ago that I’ve heard from people “in the know” that he will be coming to Piscataway. He likes our business school. Right, Steve Valazza?

Gentlemen, gentlemenI! It is still Christmas, for heavens sake! I find it amazing that someone who posts here doesn't know who AS is. OTOH, I find that sports boards (and boards in general) do use initials to the point of being cryptic. It's like someone wants to try to seem to be in the in-crowd.

Only on this Board is the potential transfer QB a Heisman contender at Rutgers (right after the backup on the bench). You need receivers that can make a play on the ball and an OL that can give a QB time. Right now, Rutgers has work to do in both area. Even Aaron Rodgers would struggle with what Rutgers currently has in those position groups.

Its a HUGE coup if he transfers to Rutgers and a big step up. Who the hell knows?

All true, all the more reason to employ a QB who can run his *** off.

Christmas miracle? Make it so. Ash needs to go all out to try to land Wimbush as it could be his job on the line if this year completely blows again.

Back to reality, landing this kid would by far be the biggest accomplishment in Ash's Rutgers career. With this kid at QB and an improving defense, six or seven wins is not out of the question next year, Of course, year five would be back to square one, but let's take it one year at a time and we need Ash to step up and close the deal. Get this kid and let's get back in the college football game!

Bryan Fortay.
He never really impressed me much at East Brunswick. Was he rated that highly coming out ?
I know his father was a 5-star.
Honestly, I'm from South River, so over the years it was always hard to take East Brunswick football seriously.
Dave Wohl was their one qb I liked. And they once had a TE named Walling. Das it.
SR has had at least a half dozen better qbs over the years.

RU needs a proven QB who can step right in and make plays. Everything else being done during the off season will probably be rendered meaningless without the QB. Land this kid!

I’m tired of taking someone else’s scraps. Let him go elsewhere. Since Ash has started Art you might as well develop him during the offseason and hope for the best

So you didn’t like what Gus Edwards and Hilliman did at RU at RB.
Or Jerome Washington or Hester did here after transferring from Miami?
Don’t agree with Singleton coming here from Michigan?
Until our horrible recruiting improves when a new HC is hired this might be our only option in fielding some P5 capable players.

Wimbush's skill sets could be more appropriate for the CFL, and then if he proves himself there, get a bigger NFL contract , then as a low draft pick or Free Agent.

Other former CFL QBs to play in the NFL.

Aside from winning the Heisman...
How could this kid coming here get us instantly better next year?
Doesn't he sit out a year?
Isn't he a square peg in McNulty's scheme?

Thats the main problem with the way some people look at recruits or transfers. They look at what they can do in the pros in the future instead of what they can do for Rutgers NOW. AS and others may "look the part" of QB but QBs like Wimbush HAS THE FREAKING PROOF THAT HE CAN PLAY TOP LEVEL P5 FOOTBALL. If this coup happens, he can relieve some pressure on the other players and that may help them improve enough for a Bowl Season. But as usual. just my opinion.

Oh I forgot that Rutgers have an OC who only coaches one way and have not adapted since 2006.

Well if he is a competent QB with P5 experience, we grab him with both hands and then work on getting the WR and OL improved, too.

ND actually blocks people, has WRs that get open, catch the ball, and yet he was mediocre there. What makes anyone think he's going to be so spectacular at RU, where none of the aforementioned fundamentals have been demonstrated?

Could it be that they keep looking at his previous 4* ranking and think he will now all of a sudden he'll live up to that rating? The truth is, he let his HS coach, a known ND fan, change his mind. He went to a school that didn't fit his skills and to a coach that never developed a quarterback.

You're right. Rutgers have the OC who can only coach one style of football and has not adapted since the 2000s.

So what was the excuse into why AS had more INTs than TDs at IMG, where they have allegedly the best of the best?

Sorry man, got go with the board on this one. I'm a Penn State guy and I knew who they were referring to with just the AS.

"There are two types of people in this world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data."
Who give a crap what you think. Initials don’t cut it bottom line. It could’ve meant Adam Sandler or Ash supporters. Worry about your coaches not fondling kids Ped State and stay in your lane.

Actually no! What did they actually do? Washington and Hester is always hurt. Gus was ok and Hilliman wasn’t even a factor unless we were lucky to get to the goal line. Singleton no because RU was with him even when other schools backed off of him when he got injured and he still chose Michigan.

If you have this idea that Rutgers actually stands a chance at a recruit who has an offer list like Singleton you are on another planet with your scarlet glasses.

We need all the help we can get, we were 1-11 in case you missed it. What recruit who has offers from Michigan, OSU, PSU, etc would ever consider us? If you want to believe that there's this contigency in NJ of this epic class coming up that all want to stay home, well that dream has been presented for the last 10 years with little results.

Be happy any time Rutgers has a chance to improve their team, transfer or not.

I'm sure if you talk to any Auburn Fan none of them care that Cam Newton played at Florida as a Freshman

It would be nice if Wimbush shows up to become this year's Grad Transfer of the Year and do well for Rutgers. And maybe Artur Sikowski, Jr The Third could take a step back and look at how others who had P5 Bowl level success play the position.

But hes not coming here (maybe) so who knows...
