He sucks on defense, but he's got some stuff on offense. He had the first pump fake I've seen from a UK player since 2014. Didn't see one last season.

He's no worse on D than any of the other players. This whole team plays bad D. Also, Cal asking Willus to play underneath on D. He's a wing player.

i don't get why we need to bash Willis.

He's done what he needs to do for his role. He's a role player off the bench. Really what's the effing point in bashing him?

There is no excuse to not have used Willis in he game earlier when we were in a big need for perimeter scoring.

Also, why not use Mulder some to force UCLA get out of the paint on defense? Cal as brilliant as he is doesn't do well with mid-game adjustments. We had no shooters in the the game and did nothing to put some on the floor. Constantly yanking players out of the game for a single mistake which caused our young players to play way too indecisively. He has completely screwed up Skal's confidence. I understand the desire for Skal to occasionally play post up, but Skal will never be a post up player and he will certainly not do that in the NBA. He needs to let him do what he does well on offense which is to face the basket. Skal currently looks like a mid-level player that got outplayed by some stiff with a 2 inch vertical.

He was more effective than Skal. Everyone played poorly except Lee. Same as it ever was. When we are forced to shoot and not lay it up or slam it, we stink it up.

Willis played well at least he was aggressive and can make plays. Ulis 2 for 12 and Murray 5 for 16 were bigger problems
Willis was leading rebounder & shot close to 50% needs to play in front of non scoring Matthews

Willis played well and played hard, I can't fault him for much tonight. I think he showed some toughness in this game and may just be a bigger contributor for us than many figured this year. Proud of the kid.
