Love the way he is playing and now he should have the confidence to keep it up, knowing what Cal wants is the key to staying on the floor. I'm proud of him, anytime you are six foot nine and can move and shoot like him, you should be playing a lot.

If he had, it would have been Sportscenter's #1 play. That'd be frickin awesome.

Yeah, that play was a funny one. I need to go back and find it. The guy taking the shot switched to a shovel type shot and it seemed to hit Willis under the arm. Was in second half and I may have seen it wrong because I thought the guy was gonna pass, but he was actually trying to shoot the damn thing. Anyway, I was looking for the guy he was 'passing' to and it hit Willis. Shortly after the announcer yelled, "block by Willis". Hysterical.

.Where are all the fans that wanted Willis to transfer..
Where are all the fans that are predicting Hawkins/Willis to transfer to make room for Bolden on next year's class...geez talk about putting the cart in front of the horse. I kid that is playing solidly at college level and we want to push him out to make room for kids that have never played college.:flushed:

Never have won a title without a Ky boy in the mix playing a substantial role. Never!
Know the more recent wins and I am sure Al Gore's interweb invention would tell me, but who were the Ky players from 48,49, 51,58? Thanks

He is a junior and a very skilled player. He still gets lost on defense every now and then but his shooting and hustle and effort over come that.

Willis has gone against some of the best in practices and it's beginning to show in his play. That's why guys come to Kentucky, sometimes they just get way more improvement by who they play against in practice than in some of our games. I'm amazed at the improvement we've seen in Willis and hope he continues to shine the rest of this season and next. Great story for a Kentucky boy right there.

yeah what the hell happened that flipped the switch for him? he's crushing it with grabbing rebounds and diving for balls. don't understand why this couldnt have happened from the beginning of the season.

I couldn't be prouder of Willis, he has deserved every minute he's played.
But if you don't mind - and I'm not trying to bash him in any way - let's temper it a little. I want to see if he can do as well, or at least nearly as well, tomorrow. Vandy has some bigger guys inside, plus they can shoot from the perimeter.
If Willis can be as productive tomorrow - even if it doesn't show in the stat sheet - then I'll relax a bit about him.
FWIW I think it looks good

I think he(Willis) can drive the ball on slower players also. I hope he can make a few driving layups tomorrow.

Willis plays well when he isn't constantly lookin over his shoulder. It seems as if cal has decided its best to let him play thru a few of his mistakes. Either way the kid is more confident and its starting to show.

I'm too lazy to look but probably most if not all of them. Sarcastic question, right?

It would kill you to give Willis a compliment.
