I think LSU plays everyone. Why would they not? If they have to end up vacating sitting guys now does nothing.

May as well try to win a SEC title and make a Final Four and then see what happens.

I bet they don't sit any players.

Feds wasn’t involved, they are in this.....

Uh yea....that’s what I’m saying. They wouldn’t dare screw around trying to save basketball right now. LSU will not make another tournament for a decade. Southern schools will eliminate basketball themselves.

I wouldn’t. Play, win, have some secret rings bought that say whatever, SEC champs ect.

And just kind of whatever.

It’s LSU basketball.

Fire Wade, sit Smart and play on. If you do that NCAA will hit LSU with probation and sanctions but they probably do not drill down on any other players because they have what they need to punish.

Cal has his players washing feet and freaking WW paid a local 5 star to come to LSU. I’d bet my *** that Waters and Naz got an even better deal. Yet, SEC refs and the media go after Cal and protect WW and LSU. WW smug *** got a gift at Rupp and gave that ghastly interview about not having to play KAT or John Wall. I hope WW never works again and ends up like Randolph and Mortimer.

It's a conundrum for me. I want to see some of these schools succeed in recruiting, on the court etc for the sake of the conference, but know it rarely comes clean unless you're already a blue blood and the school recruits itself.
There’s two ways for a non blue blood to succeed at a high level, one is to hire an elite coach that players follow anywhere or be in a recruiting hotbed and they want to stay home to play. If Georgia hired Cal you would instantly be better than you’ve ever been, but elite coaches want to go to elite schools.

Suspend the coach, sit Smart. Any success you have from that point would not be vacated unless an investigation turns up other players.

Such a dumb statement. It would still be vacated bc they wouldn’t be eligible for the ncaat without their body of work to this point

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Might as well play everyone and coach to see how far they can go. Either way they are going to have to vacate. Might as well attempt to knockout some of the blue bloods (obviously not us).

What is pretty funny is they would have been placed in a region opposite UK and could have knocked off one of the top seeds. After everything that has happened I would be surprised to see them do much in the tourny.

He gone.......
LSU should be sitting some players also......
Suspending Wade isn't enough. They must also investigate Javonte Smart as a prelude to kicking him out of their program, self-impose a postseason ban, and withdraw from the SEC Tournament.

I would also like to know the full truth about how Emmitt Williams and Naz Reid mysteriously ended up at LSU. Also need to know about the money trail. Which LSU boosters fronted the money to pay Dawkins and buy these players?

Before this is over, I predict LSU will be forced to forfeit every win this season and Wade will become Rick Pitino 2.0.

Will Wade

Current position

Frank Williams "Will" Wade (born November 26, 1982) is a former American college basketball coach, most recently serving as head coach for the Louisiana State University (LSU) men's basketball team before being suspended indefinitely after a wiretap caught him discussing potential player payments for attending LSU.

That's pretty funny.

Before it was changed someone wrote he was exposed as a liar a cheat and a fraud

because it indicates that you want to play by the rules and not tarnish the game further. damage control via corrective action.

If they really want to do that they would self impose a post season ban this season. No other way to do it

LSU doing what no other school would

Kodos to them. At least pretend you care
I respect LSU for that. Arizona on the other hand act as everything is cool, and miller is still stalking the sidelines. I have total disdain for Arizona. I still do not hate them as much as I do duke. Anyone out there think the ncaa will even look into the Williamson's new house ?

I suspect F*king Alexander is talking with the AD right now about whether to sit players ir self-impose penalties. LSU might be a no-show to post -season.

I dont trust anything to be on the up and up anymore like I used to think they were.
Recent events in this country regarding reporting verses what actually happened have opened my eyes.
Most everyone has an agenda and a narrative they want to push.
Sports is no different imo. K and Ol Roy get away with it because of this. Cal is watched like Fort Knox while these two run free with more dirt on them than a hog farmer.

LSU administration had no choice. The program would have been slammed on every single college basketball broadcast over the weekend and into next week if they didn't do something.

This was protecting football. LSU didn't want the NCAA snooping around and pull football into it.

Plus, the higher ups,the A.D. wants to save his job as well.
and it isn’t a big leap anyway. suspending the coach as the season was winding down probably already took the wind out of their sails. the next step in the university shining the turd is using the same evidence to remove intelligible players. it just looks better.

Common sense would imply, not to play Smart but,I guess we'll find out soon.
