Will Tom sue Pitino?

I've not seen anything about this.

Tom J. lost his job because he refused to fire Pitino after hoe gate, then this happens. He put himself on the line only to have Pitino screw up once more.

Wonder if courts would make Pitino pay the rest of Tom's contract?

Should be interesting few months ahead.
Friend or millions, wonder which Tom chooses?

Just thinking out loud

For the same reason Rick isn't suing his assistants... Tom wont sue Rick. There is 0 chance in hell they want people on the Louisville side (formerly of the Louisville side I should say) testifying under oath

I think Rick would then have to counter sue. If Tom had performed proper oversight over Rick, then Rick would not have broken all those NCAA rules, and would not have been so unjustly fired for cause.

IMO, what Rick and Tom need to do is hug it out and then sue Ramsey. If I was Rick, that's who I would sue tomorrow. Unless of course Smrt is already slated for Thursday's spot, then Ramsey would surely be Friday's filing.

I know there are several attorneys who post on here. What do you all think? Who should Tom sue first, and who should Rick sue next?

Had the same thought, then they could jointly sue the NCAA for not punishing UNC in a timely manner causing both to think you could get away with anything.

Most likely UNC is Rick's Monday slot. No way he lets them slide to the end of next week so that the headlines get buried in the weekend news cycle.

Tom's got some catching up to do, but they're coming. Didn't he once say (I think it was when Bobby ***** ditched him the first time) that he keeps a list of "next coaches" in his pocket. I bet he's got a list of "next defendant" in his other pocket.

that doesn’t answer the question[/QUOTE]
yes it does. His poor decision to keep Pitino after strippergate was his choice which likely led to his eventual firing. There are no grounds for Jurich to argue that Rick is at fault for his release. He could sue if he wanted but it would be thrown out very quickly

Does anyone really believe Turtleneck was fired because he refused to fire Rick?

He was stealing them blind, he was making contracts without the board's approval, or even their knowledge.

I'll bet money that he knew as much as Rick did about stripper gate, and paying players. Heck, he signed off
on the deal that got Rick 98% of $160 million, and straight faced lied that most of the money was going to the
"student" athletes.

I will say one thing about Jurich....he is a loyal dude, maybe too loyal. I dont think he would do that. Also, I could be giving him too much credit because money talks for guys like these. My gut tells me he wouldn't but my brain tells me he might.

I said this in another thread but I feel it is worth repeating here.

Rick Pitino would sue Rick Pitino if Rick Pitino said Rick Pitino wasn't the most persecuted human in the history of humans.

I hope they just keep suing and suing and suing each other. UL athletics is becoming a long running soap opera that never seems to end. Heck 50 years after I have departed this earth I expect corrupt UL will still be corrupt UL. It is a legacy of all legacies.
