If you are celebrating wins over Tech then I do not know what to tell you.
The issue is your coach needs to go. He cannot recruit top players, your fans still act like you are in the Big East and more importantly are the best a fifth place team in the Big XII.

Texas Tech, the team that has never won the Big XII
and never won the Southwest Conference outright
The university that has to celebrate two shared titles that one in 1976 they did not share because Cougar High beat them 1994 they did not win either because A&M won the title but was on probation.
Keep associating with schools like Tech and barely beating them and you will never win the Big XII like Tech.
Did anyone of you watch the Red River Rivarly and notice the difference between those two schools and West Virgina/Tech

I understand Rich Rod had your program good in the 2000's. Even the year before West Virgina entered the Big XII West Virgina was coming off a 30 something point win against a very good Clemson team.
When West Virgina entered the Big XII most of the conference thought you guys were going to compete for conference championships.
No disrespect but that has not happen. It seems like West Virgina has just settled for getting paid.
This is not the conference for welfare universities because this conference splits the pie based on television appearances. Very similar to the ideas of capitalism that has worked out so well for the United States. The other conferences have a model more like Communist Russia with everyone getting an even share.
The issue is the Big XII model is working. The SEC/BIG model is not. A lot of the media will tell you different because in those conference the media already has their third tier rights. The media networks do not want more schools to have third tier rights because then they have to bid on them on the open market. Another idea of capitalism.
For the Big XII model to continue to work and have a future that other universities want all universities including mine own need to step up on the field.
This starts with the fanbase. No one has more power on a team than the fanbase.
It is time for West Virgina fans to begin to demand a better product on the field.

Overall since 2011 Oklahoma has been much better.
Iowa State is better than you right now at both sports.
Oklahoma I'll give you, I just looked at their bball success with Kruger.
WVU is better than Iowa State in both football and basketball, and certainly has a better track record of success since joining the Big 12.

West Virgina is stuck in the mud in football. You have no traction towards the top right now if your program.
In basketball you have been decent. I give you that but so has Iowa St.
If West Virgina does not watch out they will be playing the likes of Houston, Cincinnati and Memphis.
Schools like South Florida, Houston and Memphis at any time could be top 10 teams with the right coach and good recruits.
Just look at Ed Oliver. Could West Virgina bring in a talent like Oliver.
West Virgina might get their pride handed to them in the AAC as well.

So West Virgina has played Texas in a 6 year stretch when Texas was horrible and only managed 4 wins.
If West Virgina is going to stay in the Big XII long they need to beat Texas every chance they can get because once the ball gets rolling again at UT the Longhorns destroy everyone.
UT has made programs quit before. A blueblood football program in Nebraska ran away from Texas.
Losing 4 games to West Virgina in a 6 year period hurts but it is something I know in 5 years will no longer be apart of me.
West Virgina needs to get their defense better. I saw a lot of toughness in the second half. I will give you that but Texas has played two wars against OU and USC while West Virgina has yet to play anyone worthwhile.
No Purple Baylor is trash who hangs fake championships.
When they play I am expecting a 34-10 Texas win.

Yeah...No. 4 TCU and No. 14 Va. Tech aren't worthwhile.

Cold weather is only a factor if you let it unlike hot weather so if the players are prepare for that I think once gametime it will not be a factor.
Because what are winter tires. Never heard of them until I saw a commercial advertising them today.
Didn't know you changed the tires when it gets cold.

Va Tech is no one. Clemson is an above average team at best this year and killed Va Tech at home.
