Since Pope has no clue what he’s doing with the NIL money. Can‘t we just give it to Stein?
I know that's sarcasm, but that stat is wild to me....he's off to a better start than even the one of the GOATs.Stein is pretty good, but the verdict is still out if he is as good as Sweetland. Sweetland's team beat the Old Hickory Bandersnatches 9-4 to go to the Franklin Stove bowl in Philadelphia, PA.
This is the year to crap or get off the pot. NIL has changed things. If you can't make a shot at a title in 3 years at any P5/P6 program......you aint it.But people say Pope needs more time, lol
You can’t look at how much success Stein is having on the field and recruiting with one of the worst budgets in the SEC and say Pope is doing a good job with one of the highest NIL packages in the country. Stein is currently first in the SEC and Pope has never finished higher than 6th while being preseason 7th this year. This is the year to crap or get off the pot. NIL has changed things. If you can't make a shot at a title in 3 years at any P5/P6 program......you aint it.
More slapstick than sarcasm. Stein is a transcendent hire and coach. I'm loving this season!I know that's sarcasm, but that stat is wild to me....he's off to a better start than even the one of the GOATs.
Wow, without Sam Greene too. This defense bends but doesn’t break. The forced turnovers are not luck at this point.A great and imaginative offense and they just held an SEC team to 15 yards rushing.
Cignetti brought over much of his 11-1 JMU team from the previous year with them. And much of that team was filled with Covid-era super seniors who helped lead him to the title. This is getting more impressive than Cignettis first year. That year, IU played 1 ranked team and lost by 20.
now let's give that performance in Knoxville.....A great and imaginative offense and they just held an SEC team to 15 yards rushing.
How long is he out? Hopefully its not season ending .Wow, without Sam Greene too. This defense bends but doesn’t break. The forced turnovers are not luck at this point.
Defense has to be better at getting off the field on 3rd downs. That’s my only real complaint. But, they pull through when it counts!Wow, without Sam Greene too. This defense bends but doesn’t break. The forced turnovers are not luck at this point.
Yup give him all the NIL funds he wants.Back up the ******* brincks truck for this guy.
Exactly. We need to convert some long 3rd downs and stop 3rd downs ourselves. Do that and it’s really on.Defense has to be better at getting off the field on 3rd downs. That’s my only real complaint. But, they pull through when it counts!
I’m too far deep in the bourbon to be reliable at this point, but I thought I had heard in some of the pregame shows that he was out but was expected to be back eventually. Not season ending. Don’t quote me on that though. How long is he out? Hopefully it season ending .
The bending is so hard to watch though. I hope in coming seasons our defense can get to the point where opponents just wanna give up on 3rd and long.Wow, without Sam Greene too. This defense bends but doesn’t break. The forced turnovers are not luck at this point.
11 + years with a winning percentage of like 62% yea time isn’t what he needs…But people say Pope needs more time, lol
True, but if before the game I told you we’d hold Vandy to FIFTEEN rushing yards, 260 yards total, and also turn them over twice, everyone would have taken that in a heartbeat. That’s a solid performance. The bending is so hard to watch though. I hope in coming seasons our defense can get to the point where opponents just wanna give up on 3rd and long.
Fair enough.True, but if before the game I told you we’d hold Vandy to FIFTEEN rushing yards, 260 yards total, and also turn them over twice, everyone would have taken that in a heartbeat. That’s a solid performance.
No doubt, it wasn’t perfect and we need to start getting more 3rd down stops but we again came away with key take aways and put the clamps down after the second quarter.True, but if before the game I told you we’d hold Vandy to FIFTEEN rushing yards, 260 yards total, and also turn them over twice, everyone would have taken that in a heartbeat. Can't remember where I read it , but said he didnt have a tear or anything. Was dealing with a sprain and should be good to go after bye week.I’m too far deep in the bourbon to be reliable at this point, but I thought I had heard in some of the pregame shows that he was out but was expected to be back eventually. Not season ending. Don’t quote me on that though.
If the administration has any clue, they would correct this immediately if not sooner. If Stein had a properly allocated NIL fund like other sec football schools he would be unstoppable.
The way Pope is going UK will be a football school just like IU!If the administration has any clue, they would correct this immediately if not sooner.
I don't want to become a football school by having basketball suck. I just wanna strong football team and subsequent successful sports program. The way Pope is going UK will be a football school just like IU!
Yep Cignetti is extremely overrated. Put himCignetti brought over much of his 11-1 JMU team from the previous year with them. And much of that team was filled with Covid-era super seniors who helped lead him to the title.
Cignetti beat SEC runner up Bama 38-3 in rose bowlYep Cignetti is extremely overrated. Put him
in the SEC and he goes 5-7 with an occasional 7-5
One of the worst takes ever produced on this board.Yep Cignetti is extremely overrated. Put him
in the SEC and he goes 5-7 with an occasional 7-5
Which is why Texas and their $50M football NIL budget shouldn't be shrugged off...If Stein had a properly allocated NIL fund like other sec football schools he would be unstoppable.
That’s a laughable take.Yep Cignetti is extremely overrated. Put him
in the SEC and he goes 5-7 with an occasional 7-5
This ^One of the worst takes ever produced on this board.
This leaves out the two blatant PIs we didn’t get and that we could have easily scored again at the end.No doubt, it wasn’t perfect and we need to start getting more 3rd down stops but we again came away with key take aways and put the clamps down after the second quarter.
