a horrible beating or can we make a game of it.

OSU, had a bye week to listen to all the media and get healthy. I'm sure they have a plan and attacked their defeciensies. I wish Purdue had lost.

My question is will this be a blowout?

Just keep waiting for the line to drop under 21 again...this will be a beat down If OSU had 2 losses it would be a different story but they know that if they win out they are in...

Wounded duck or not, this is a game where Nebraska does not match up well on paper, especially the Husker D. But, anything can happen, even an upset, I just don't see the Huskers pulling one off Saturday. tOSU will probably cover the spread, but I would love like heck for Nebraska to be in it late in the game with a shot to win.

I think Ohio St is going to come out pissed off and looking to prove a point. I don't think we have the talent on D to hold them off. My hope is it isn't over by the first.

The one thing sorta of in our favor is it’s a morning game. If we can strike early and maybe have a little luck go our way, this game might be a lot closer than what people think. Remember TCU really went toe to toe with this team for 3 quarters and they lost to Kansas this Last week.

I think last year’s game left us with a bad taste in our mouth. But last years tOSU is better than this years team & we are better than last year. So don’t be surprised if we battle them.

Yep. Every game from here on out is a must win for OSU. 2 in conference losses guarantees no shot at a playoff, and virtually guarantees no CCG. I don’t see Michigan losing 2 in conference games. So they are going to come out with something to prove against a “media darling” (yes I said that in reference to Scott Frost, he’s been hyped, not just by the Nebraska media but nationally as well) and a team that is beginning to really turn the corner. We’re not there yet, but a foreshadowing of the future is on display and Urban Myer knows it, so he’s going to take his shot now. Hard to see us keeping this one close. But this will be the last one...

Just making them punt will be a huge improvement over the last couple of years.

Yes, Beaver-ball coaching threw us into the bottom of the bucket. I'm thinking even a sensational HC like SF will need a little time to turn the ship around (even worse....it was sinking).

Ohio State doesn’t have a great D this season but it’s better than ours so even if we exchanged scores with them they would still get the stops needed to win. Our offense also has to operate for 4 quarters which I don’t see happening. No way can we afford to take a quarter off..

Too much going against us right now IMO. Terrible D, true freshman QB, untrustworthy line play, penalties, one the road in a hostile enviroment, etc.

That is why the game is played though, anything can happen.

After the last 2 games, keeping it within 20 would show a lot of progress.

Upset? Anything is possible, but Urban is coming off a loss

Unfortunately, their strength is passing and our pass defense is our weakness

That’s one of the keys I’m avoiding a blowout

I think our offense will hold it's own. Maybe even more than that.

Our defense looks to me to be somewhat improving the last couple of games. But yeah, it's got a long ways to go.

My guess is we have an outside chance. AM is terrific, the OLine, while still marginal, is improving. We've got very good rbs & wrs. We will move that ball.

Gotta get some Buckeye punts this time. We'll see......

It is all going to come down to the D. The D has to get some stops, we can't let them put up points. I think we have to be able to keep them under 30 for our offense to put up enough points to win. I don't see our offense being able to put up more than 35 against them. Also our offense needs to help out our D and sustain longer drives. This up temp offense is great, unless you go 3 and out 50% of the time and make the D be on the field 75% of the game. If that happens it is going to get ugly.

People are giving their D way too much credit. Pretty much every team that has played them has had success. Our D is the big worry. I think we will get our yards and points, just don't see us stopping them. Probably will be like 52-42 type game.

Oregon St put up 31, but guessing it was against the 2nd and 3rd string. Penn St put up 26, Minn 14, Indiana 26, Purdue 49. Thats why I say, I just don't think we will be able to put more than 30-35

Unless the defense plays way better than what we've seen all year, OSU will score 50-60 points. Our offense is getting much better but isn't good enough on the OL to compete against OSU type athletes.

NU will score two or three TDs after the game is no longer in doubt to make it look better than it really was.

OSU 66
NU 40

Oregon State, Rutgers, and Tulane got blitzed right away.

Indiana and Minnesota played with them through 3 quarters. Purdue beat them.

Are we closer to Oregon State and Rutgers or Indiana and Minnesota?

Show us which game was an anomaly ... the Michigan game or the Minnesota game

66? They only got 56 against the "strain".

Keep hoping for a 45-34 type game but in reality it'll probably end up in another thrashing, 52-24.

Everyone keeps pointing to the fact of OSU coming into this game pissed off, what about NU? We've been humiliated 2 years in a row and especially last year when we laid down and didn't even put up a fight a game in which the players humiliated themselves while the entire nation watched. You don't think all of the players that were on those last 2 teams aren't pissed off and want to atone for last year, now the we can do something about it. Bucknuts got handled by Purdue, we got humiliated. The players got pissed off over the Minnesota game last year and look how that turned out for the Gophers this year., Meyer is actually worried about our Offense, not by what he said but what he didn't say while talking about it in his presser. He referred to our O as a very unique scheme and the way he talked about Martinez and calling him an Elite QB and only being a Freshman as well as comparing JD to Rondale Moore, this is an offense unlike any he's faced before. Defensively they are giving up as much chunk yardage as we are. This is not the same OSU team that's humiliated us the last 5 years and we're definitely not the same team that **** the bed against Michigan either. They're gonna have just as much of a problem stopping our O as we will theirs.

i'm going to say 56 - 27 with 14 of our points coming in garbage time. I don't think the team has the mental fortitude to walk into the horseshoe and beat OSU.

Maybe if OSU got the flu that would be our only hope.

Those were the deficits that NU faced in the 2nd or 3rd quarter the last times they’ve played OSU, PSU, and Michigan. Avoiding a boat-race is key, I think. If this game is competitive, it further validates that they are making progress. If they get boat-raced again, they may feel like they are back to square one.
