In the end this will hopefully be a blessing in disguise. He got some playing time, but now can redshirt and heal up. That’ll give him 1 year in the system with 2 full years to play.

Blessing in disguise minus the part that Dedrick Young is going to have to play now. I agree with your statement, just literally tired of #5 and probably need to step away. Lol.

Young is too slow and is always out of position on long runs. Anyone know anything about Colin Miller or Jacob Weinmaster?

The coaching staff should be doing everything they can to make sure #5 doesn't see the field. If that means a position change, running base nickel, so be it, but Young has proven he's not a division I capable football player.

Yeah. Play Colin Miller, and I don't care if he doesn't get it fully. At least he is pretty athletic and will play full speed.

Yeah, and the few times he blitzed, it was like what are you doing>? It looked like he was going in slow motion.

Wow that's a bad turn for Honas. He is a good tackler and plays his assignments with very good discipline. With the Wisconsin ground machine just days away, probably the worst time imaginable to lose a skilled MLB. He will definitely be missed. Best wishes for a full recovery.

This seems like sound logic, as long as he can make a full recovery from the injury. Also, at least it happened in this game, and not in game 5. My biggest concern whenever its a knee injury is that the player may not recover fully. Perhaps it is not AS critical for a Linebacker as it may be for a DB, though.

I understand what you're saying BUT this really sucks for him and us. We needed him now not 2 years from now.

Disagree.

Being hung up on this season is short term thinking. This is a rebuild.

Having him around for the future is crucial.

We aren't winning anything this year. So you burn a year of eligibility on a losing season possibly.
