Will Ferrell as "Guest Picker" next weekend?????

[ChillbillyRock]

Sorry if Germanian, but can someone confirm if this is true? I did see a thread on one of my favorite msu sites proposing the question of "Who would be our GUest Picker and saw an answer of Christopher Walkin & Will Ferrell. but thats all I saw of it…..But a coworker just came in office and asked me if it was true..?.. That would be Killer!! More Cowbell definitely trumps corndog tossing.

[Digging dog]

I would hope so.
No solid confirmation that I know of though.

[DesotoCountyDawg]

I'd rather have an MSU related person.

[Xenomorph]

I'd rather have somebody on stage who...

...will make an extra 10 million people tune in.

...will make an extra 10 million people tune in.

What he said.

A Ferrell or Galifianakis type would be great for entertainment purposes.

Didn't Ferrell do one last year? Not sure if they like to keep using the same people.

MSU has 0 high profile fans or non-sports grads

except maybe Grisham, who we share with ole miss. You are basically saying you want Papelbon. I wouldn't mind him, but I'd rather have a high profile person jump on our bandwagon, even if for their own sake (a la Katy Perry - who killed it).

Would prefer a celeb from Miss. They would at least understand what this means to the university.

Katy Perry made me cringe every time she said something. The sad part is that it was clear that they had rehearsed it.

[UpTheMiddlex3Punt]

As long as he doesn't go streaking through The Junction.

After the old crotch grab I doubt we're ringing Paps phone off the hook. Just a hunch.

[AHSDawg]

Morgan Freeman. And he has MSU ties. the vet school takes care of his horses. Side note, the library has also done some things with him at his house. My sister has seen his Oscar.

[PiedmontDawg]

Grasshopper tweeted out that it was 100% ESPN's call on getting celeb guest picker. So there's that. It'll be interesting

[Wizard.sixpack]

SNL writers say....I DON'T THINK SO BUDDY!!

Surely, he's gotten a call or tweet asking for recommendations.

christopher walken as bruce dickinson......"i gotta feevah....and the only cure is.....MORE COWBELL!"

[QuickFix]

I think the proper play here is Katy Perry.

[bulldognation]

Blue Oyster Cult is at the MS State Fair. Hell, we should just get the original band to come down. #OriginalCowbell

[drt7891]

I've been hearing it's likely going to be tommy tuberville or Derek Dooley. Although we really should be going after Chris Peterson.

[aTotal360]

Just saw Dan Marino at Waverly.

[Lettucexxxx]

+1

[Shmuley]

ESPN working hard to get Archie lined up.

[speckdots]

"Shirley Q. Liquor." Would knock it out the park.

[HomeBoyDawg]

Come On, Man, show some respect...we're talking about Morgan Freeman here...
very few people much less your sister have seen his...oh..."his Oscar"...the award thing...I get it now...my mistake.

[chem1970]

How about Justin Timberlake? He has a home and a golf course in Memphis (Millington) and his family lives there. I'll bet he would love to do it if he is in the Memphis area.

[was21]

Walton and Johnston

[Fogdog]

Okay, that was funny, HBD. Very cute.

[KielDog]

Jerry Rice sure has been hanging around the team a lot lately...

[Thirty-Two Dive]

How about getting the Brothers Johnson, for a little D-Day love..
