Will beating #16 UCLA quiet the Cal hate?

Calipari has to get to a final four and win a title to completely be safe.

But these types of games have to be won because he’s also losing our prestige by getting beat, well, nearly EVERY time we face a good rival or ranked opponent.

So yea he needs to win it, Kentucky should expect to win most of these kinds of games. Will it help much? Not really, and you know why Kwilt.

He needs to win the NC.
We were the favorites by most coming into the season because they know our roster has the talent to win it.
Instead we are a fringe top 20 team and the 4th or 5th best team in our league.
Talent isn’t our issue. It’s 100% bad coaching.
The last team that returned the NPOY cut the nets down.

I think some of the noise will quiet down for at least a week if we win convincingly, play well through the whole game and not just one half.

With this I totally agree. Almost every season they look at our talent and rank us up there. Not factoring in coaching. When the season begins we start our usual decline.

Would you please just stop starting ****. There’s not one person that thinks you’re a fan. You’re basically a narcissistic little boy. I honestly believe you would enjoy your video games more.
I actually think he’s an older man but with Ryan Lemmond personality type…if not Ryan himself. If he is in fact “kwilt” from the past then at minimum he’s in his late 20s/early 30s….my bet is 50+ tho

Will it take winning the SEC?
The SECT?
The NCAAT?

Whats it going to take?
Good question. The haters will attack you for asking it. I do not believe any amount of success by this team will stop the criticism of Cal from a small portion of this board.
I go into each season wanting to at least have a shot at a championship. I want to make the final four each year while knowing that we have only been to 17 FFs in our entire basketball history. I do believe that we have many more very good teams across the nation this year than in years past. There are at least 20 teams that could go on a roll in March, and we are one of those.

If cal wins any of that stuff you mentioned it will be an accident. If cal wins any of that stuff you mentioned, because it would be an accident id want him gone the very next day. If he won the NCAAT i'd want him to leave Houston and head directly to his next destination that not called Lexington KY. There's nothing that cal can do at this point. If cal had a 5 star hooker show up at my door every single day of 2023 and she had to do me for 3 hours straight, I'd send him a thank you card and sign it "NOW GET THE **** OUT"

Cal would have to win the NCAA Championship at least 3 out of 4 years to satisfy his critics. If he were to have that level of success, most of the people on this board would stop attacking him for a few years.
After 2 or 3 years of Kentucky not winning a championship, they would start attacking him again.

Such a ridiculous post. We haven't gotten a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament in the longest streak in our program's history, we haven't been to a final four in 8 years and haven't won a tournament game since 2019. And this guy says we'd have to win 3 championships out of 4 years to satisfy people.

Talk about being disconnected from reality.

It will be like every other time on here.

If we win, it'll quiet down a bit until our next defeat.
If we lose, it'll be blast Cal

There's no surprises here lol. People that like Cal will continue to like Cal and people that hate Cal will continue to hate Cal.

Would entering league play with 0 quality wins be enough for you to say Calipari is underperforming?

Define quality wins tho?

I mean if you are including Michigan St (40th in KP) you have to include Michigan (44th in KP).
If you are excluding those teams well we really only played one other quality team lol.

I think it's pretty clear this year the SEC has good teams. The bulk of our resume is going to be based on what we do in conference this season IMO

A lot of the hatred that exists for Cal on this board has very little to do with basketball. It is totally irrational and unfair.
Most people on this forum may not feel that way but a significant number of people do. The reality is that some of the people on this board will always hate Cal's guts.

It will certainly help. But if he loses it’ll go to a completely new level and stay there until well into January when we play our next good team @ Alabama . He has to prove he can beat a good team . Our post 2015 against ranked teams record currently sits at 26-30 . He HAS to turn that around.

How about the rest of the people who aren’t Cal haters or Cal lovers, just UK fans who want the best for the program? Where do those weirdos fit in?

Or like me who like Cal for the most part but are pissed at his on court performance.

Dude has got to get it together.
