Depends on whether he thinks he can be a first rounder next year or not.

If he thinks his stock won't increase, he might be okay with overseas or NBADL. I really hope he returns. He would be a huge lift to next season's chances.

He made a mistake not leaving after his 1st year and he will be making another mistake if he leaves now.

I'll get killed for this but i'll be annoyed if he leaves. And its not just him leaving more just the concept that we had numerous guys that seemingly would have likely returned if they went any where but UK, so to lose basically every single of those guys would suck! To lose Booker/Johnson/Lyles/and Poy would be really really sucky.

and here comes the "rable rable rable you son of a ***** we have made 4 out of 5 final fours"

yes I know, and its been a great ride, but I still feel the same if Poy leaves, disappointed. Happy for him I guess but disappointed as a whole none the less.

I agree with you. Yes we have been to 4 Final Fours, but it sucks losing players who wouldn't even consider going pro if they weren't at UK.

I disagree that these players wouldn't have went pro if they weren't at UK. Poythress, Dakari and the twins were all top 10 recruits coming out of h.s. so none of them would have been expected to be in college more than 2 years. These guys would have likely put up huge numbers at most schools and been big stars on those teams. The only one I think wouldn't have left by now had they been at other schools is Booker.

Yea after listening again Cauley Stein needs to STFU. "I want him to go out like we went out." How's that? 38-1 with no title to show for it. "I don't want him to go through the rough times again." He's already forecasting a ****** season for the Cats next year?. "It's rough being a senior with all new guys" Say hello to Darius Miller.

I really wish Willie would just shut the heck up about what Alex needs to do!! This is the 2nd time Willie has been outspoken about this.

So question for Willie: How would Alex leaving now be going out like you did?

I mean...it's a no-brainer that leaving would be much more difficult. If he leaves he'll be playing with teammates he's NEVER played with, not to mention new coaches, new environment, further from family & friends. Is Willie very smart?

If WCS were smart, he would not have failed to show in the game against Wisconsin. I think he has doual personality. Sometimes he is himself a great guy and super BB player, and other times I don't recognize him..

Haha Willie has more than enough reason to speak out about the matter... that's his friend! Who cares if AP leaves ( I think he will, just an opinion), we will be fine in the long run.

Next year is going to be a struggle with or without Poythress. Then we'll load em up for 2016-17 with another legitimate shot at domination.

What are you implying - that this group goes out somehow as a failure because they didn't win a title? This was one of the better seasons in our long, storied history. I'll never understand why you guys take kids leaving early personally. That is the bargain. And I don't want to hear anything - like rival fans like to say - that they are using UK, that they have no feelings for the school or its coaches or its fans. The actions of Wall, Cousins, AD, MKG, etc. etc, say anything but that. One thing I always envied - the only thing I envied -- about UNC was their sense of family. The way Jordan wore his UNC shorts under his Bulls shorts. The way they all belonged to the family and defended it. We now have that, because of Calipari - and he's managed to make that so despite the fact that many of these kids are only here a year......

Our brand now is not as much a University, as a farm system, or stepping stone, to the NBA.

Like it or not, that is what Cal has made us.

He has done a lot of good things while here, no doubt, but like anything else, you take the good with the bad.

Is Kennedy Meeks leaving? He's 3 time the player Dakari is?

I feel like Lyles would of been a one and done at most schools he could have attended. Borderline lottery pick, and would of likely put up bigger numbers on another team where he could of been the go to guy. I do believe however that in Booker's case, the spotlight of UK helped his stock significantly.

That's the most hilarious part. How would you know, Willie?

As I posted previously, something these guys who allowed "group thinking" to influence their decision to leave before they are ready are going to really be disappointed. If WCS is successful in persuading POY to leave, will he be as generous with his money in support of POY as he is with his opinion when POY is struggling in the D League?
