Turn out the lights wow we may not have beaten hard to win with konkol calls and no green a shame a great year inspite of our deficient coaching
It’s just unfortunate, we’ve shot well all season but can’t seem to find the range here when it counts. Currently 33% overall and 30% from deep. Still a lot of game to play but we need to start pecking away at that lead soon.
Popoola being guarded last series by Giles. Despite his 7” height advantage, he didn’t attempt to shoot over him. We need someone to get hot.

Popoola in particular is great at 3s, but not when driving in. WSU scouts us well. Mills has him team playing well. They improved month by month.

Problem with this team and coach. Ok talent eye but he ruined this team by not finding a big. Bherend amazing season but he is more a stretch guy. On top of that he is just too nice to build a strong defensive team which helps win games when you are not shooting well. Great season but we are where we deserve. Third seed AAU, a very weak league

We were exhausted from last night. Green was likely more susceptibile to injury because of being exhausted. Then Behrend fouled out because he was forced to foul against taller players while playing no green. We pretty much were going to lose this game. This game feels like the 10 point lead is the closest we will get, and it will gyrate between 13 and 20 pt Wichita St lead. We were just not in a good position. Losing to Wichita St in semi's doesn't throw the entire season in the can. We will likely get a bid to the NIT, and if we get Green healed up, we could do something impressive there.
i enjoyed watching our guys. Konkol assembled a pretty talented group. But we’ve beaten exactly two solid teams all season and all of the coachable things that were an issue at the beginning of the season are still an issue at the end.
Great season, kids never quit... They deserve a post season
I might feel better if I believed we were building something but that is so rare nowadays. Kind of a crapshoot so it is win now or forget it seems like.

Almost had all the pieces for the NCAA. No rim protector so it was live and die from the three. And that’s exactly what we did. Mills made some great coaching set plays to get Giles open and Giles did a lot on his own. WSU bigger and stronger at most positions.
Everyone laughed when they said we don’t need rim protector’s lol I think a few of our team will be back next year from this team the non seniors will be poached and the rest will move to programs with more nil. Really Mills sold himself short by taking an aac job after going to the elite 8 when leaving oru remember self left our elite 8 team and went to the big 10 Illinois then the dream job Kansas mills won’t ever make the ncaa with wichita he will need to if he’s going to top 4 leagues
