Im still trying to figure out why we fouled intentionally with 38 seconds to go, and only down 3?? There was about an 8 second differnce between shot clock and game clock. Make a freakin stop on defense and take our chances!! Dont make it a 2 possession game again when you dont have to?? Am I wrong, or did anyone else think the way I do??

Either way I'm not so certain down 3 with 8 would have been ideal. By the time we get the ball up to half court we probably don't get a clean look at 3 or maybe they foul us to even prevent the 3 all together.

It's a tough call. There were 34.6 seconds left after Tyler's free throws. If you don't foul and they make a basket with the shot clock winding down, then you're down 5 or 6 with about 8 seconds to go...basically game over. If he makes 1 of 2 free throws, then you're down 4 with 29 seconds to go. I don't think it was a bad decision.
I agree. In fact its the ONLY thing I saw in this game that I questioned, and I WENT NUTS!!!!!

There wasnt any guarantee we couldnt have gotten a steal or tie up before the possession was over either..and im sure they wouldnt have ran it all the way to zero before putting up a shot!! We couldve had at least 7-8 seconds to get off a 3, which is plenty of time to get a good look..
Even if we would have let them run the clock out and they missed a shot, we probably wouldn't have got the rebound till around 3 seconds left and then had to hope for a Northern Iowa type shot. So it was the right move to make IMO.
A freshmen 70% free throw shooter went to the line up two and sank both. If he misses one or both we had a chance to tie/win. He didn't and we lost. Cal made the right call.
It was the right move. Extend the game. Who knows what would have happened if they drained the clock to 6 seconds and where the rebound would have gone.
You're wrong. The scenario is correct but if you wait that long and they score, games over. You have to extend the game there.
