Why we want UCF to win

I’ll be pulling for UCF to beat LSU almost as much as I did when they beat Auburn last season. I’m curious if you guys feel the same way. Here are my thoughts.

Pros:
-UCF’s success was built from the ground up by every one of our coaches
-From what I’ve seen, UCF continues to use similiar schemes as the current Husker staff. I like the idea of that brand of football having success against who ever they play
-I like the idea of that brand of football doing well against teams that recruit out of this world
-I’m sick of the SECs recent run. It’s to the point where recruits now believe that there is the SEC and everyone else is second fiddle (except Clemson)

Cons:
-UCF fans have been extremely annoying to the Husker fan base. It’s as if they don’t realize that the architect of their success is the biggest Husker fan ever. (So big of a fan that he got in to coaching to ‘restore the order’)
***Annoying fans are the only Con I can come up with. I will never understand why those guys hate Nebraska.

Am I tripping? Who are you all pulling for?

I’m actually conflicted. I want the SEC to lose, but I like LSU. B1G already has **** the bed so I’ll probably be rooting for LSU. Hope it’s an exciting of a game as last years Peach Bowl was.

I feel the same way. I won't root for UCF just because Scott Frost. I have zero attachment for UCF. LSU has good people. I love the people from Louisiana up at work. I'll have the game on, but I'll be watchig the Bruins-Blackhawks game anyways.

The SEC doesn't ride Alabamas coattails and that's such an ignorant statement that gets driven in the ground here.....

Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, and LSU all have national titles in the last 20 years while Georgia has a national runner up.

Win or lose, UCF fans will cling to the notion that if Milton didn't get hurt they would've been put in the playoff and won it.

Their fans will be insufferable either way.

My original post isn’t about rooting for UCF, it’s about rooting for Frost’s blueprint to be sustainable with the ability to overcome huge talent gaps.

Maybe I’m wrong but the better UCF continues to do with average talent, the better I feel about Frost’s ceiling for our Huskers.
**Wouldn’t we all be nervous if UCF went 0-11 right after we hired Frost

I like UCF and hope they win out. It will look good for Frost and company as well as for Nebraska. If our coach took a lowly team and made them undefeated in his second year, our fan base can hope for the same.
Who cares what their fan base spews. I had fun over on their site last year until they put a ban on me. I was nice to them but they didn't want to listen to the truth. The bottom line is that they're just jealous of our team and feel rejected because 100% of their coaches left.

LSU. I have a lot of friends and acquaintances from Louisiana and they are a fun bunch of people. So I always cheer for LSU. Have also really enjoyed their baseball team since I was in high school back in the mid to late 1990’s.

LSU 1000% You are right, UCF fans, and AD are really the only reason people have to hate UCF. That is enough for me. Most self entitled, loud mouth, disrespectful group of fans I have ever seen. I guess I shouldn't generalize "fans" I have never been to one of their games. So they may be great in person. So I am strictly basing my hate of their "fans" from their msg board posters. It really is sad that a group of "fans" can generate so much hate for a team. Outside of FL the majority of the country wants them to lose.
Yes, our coaches laid the foundation, but they are gone. The second Frost and staff left, UCF had nothing to do with Nebraska.
Yes I hate the SEC, but hate over UCF is much strong. UCF is a flash in the pan school, who has had 3 good years in their history and now they think they belong in the same breath as Alabama, Clemson, Fl, and yes even Nebraska. I question if they weren't in the AAC if those 3 years of success ever happens. I doubt it. UCF is at best a 8 or 9 win team in any P5 conference.

Sorry, I pull for Frosts system and his recruits! Gives me hope for the future. Alot of these guys are frosts 3 star recruits. Makes you look at our 3 stars differently

Exactly, to me this is a trial run for Frost's system at a school that can't nearly match the kind of athletes we can get -- in particular on the OL and DL

Nice that Mack JR hit that pass, but he's been a drag on their offense today
