1. Caleb will eventually find his touch...no way he is this bad a shooter over a whole season.
2. Hyatt will slow down a bit...playing too fast...not set when shooting...and making bad fouls...all very addressable.
3. Game will slow down for Jayden and he will not get back doored again.
4. Ron will get the ball down low a lot more...never getting the ball to him down low against Lafayette was major reason we lost.
5. Same with Cliff.
6. Geo will come around offensively.

Pretty much on par .

Going to need a big rotation because some are not in good enough condition to play 30 minutes at the intensity needed.

Here is where your coach needs to figure some things out. This team should be MUCH better than it has showed. Make adjustments and find a way.

You are saying this based on what?

Maybe coach is playing the right guys and the guys everyone wants to see more of are correctly not playing because right now they aren’t good.

I am guessing that is what is going on.

Hyatt and Jones have been pretty bad and There is only one (or two) explanation to why Miller isn’t playing

Ball down low to Harper against a zone with his back to the basket is no good..

I think things will get better. I hope. But it's depressing because we lose Ron and Geo, and probably Caleb. And then what?

There will be a regression to the mean on shooting and we will win some games

The question is ...will the turn around be enough to get us where we hope to be at the end of the year

Shack, that's the big question. Will this team grow exponentially to where they gel and win the games they're supposed to and surprise us every now and then with games they're not expected to win?

If Ron and Geo don't turn their season's around and lead this team emotionally and by leading this team by scoring consistently, I don't see how we win games. I don't see anyone else who can really do that on a consistent basis.

Too much talent on this team - They will figure it out offensively
The team should be playing better than they have against mediocre competition.Too much talent on this team is not based on past or current performance but rather on wishful thinking.

One think Pike has always had was multiple big men who made you pay the price down low.
Doorson wasn’t great, but he was a huge physical presence to go along with Omoruyi and Carter.
Then came Myles.
This is the first year we are soft down low and it’s not who we’ve been.
Multiple B1G Ten coaches came through the RAC saying our team beats you up

Very concerning. What I liked a lot about Doorson was that he gave you good back up minutes. He understood his role. Big, muscular guy, who understood he had to play defense and get in good rebounding position. Shaq Carter, another guy who played D and had smart shot selection. How hard is it to grab a guy to play d and rebound? It’s laughable who Pike’s recruited to play in the post

Do you not remember the 15 or so years between Waters and Pike?
To be fair, the Mike Rice years weren’t terrible until he started throwing basketballs at people.

Other than that it was FHJ (never should have gotten the job) and EJ (a political hire to ‘restore’ Rutgers pride).

Caleb has been nearly this bad for 2.5 years
Didn’t he average like 6 points a game last year? Didn’t he shoot well from charity? He’s literally missed his last 11 shots and didn’t score in the 2 one possession scores. Mathematically this puts the OP’s point spot on regardless of what you think of Caleb’s game. If Caleb shoots even 25% from the field both games are likely wins.

Totally agree but for the last 2 years we heard so many fans complaining those guys weren't good enough and the game has changed to where Big men have to shoot 3’s. I thought Pike was making this change as well but we’re not making 3’s and what is worse we are hesitant to shoot them. The pressure has been on us in every game and our competition just let’s them fly because there is no pressure when you’re playing up a level. I see a lot of tense shooting in the second half of close games from everyone except RHJ.

Rice was the worst of them all, bringing horrible embarrassment to the university for his abusive behaviors and making us the butt of countless jokes for weeks.

I thought the butt jokes were during the Brannon era.

Set your feelings aside. His teams were tough and didn’t backdown from anyone.

Good list. Add RU will stop chucking up way too many shots (bricks) from the perimeter and make a determined effort to drive the ball inside.

Caleb has been nearly this bad for 2.5 years
I've posted Caleb's numbers a couple of times now and it's not 2 1/2 seasons, it is 1 and 1/2 seasons, not sure exactly what happened but here are the numbers over the last first.3 years here +5 games.

This will get better offensively when Pike stops with the nice-ities and philosophy of waiting your turn till you're an upperclassmen to be option 1,.2 or 3 on offense and designing an offense around the three most skilled offensive players on the.team, RHJ, Cliff and Jaden Jones. It would make the other guys, Hyatt, Geo, Caleb, Paul, etc. open if those three get most of the defensive pressure.
