hang in there, the coaches have to get momentum killing out their system.

I'm starting to think that Scott Frost has been conducting an experiment these last few years to discover every possible way to lose a football game.

What do all opposing coaches say to their team when we play them? Don’t worry they will make a mistake. And Frost continues to prove he doesn’t know how to win

It always works in Madden 21; baffled that it didn’t have similar results irl.

Frost baffles us every week....imagine how confused the Irish people in attendance who don't really follow American football must be.

He’s got enough balls to go for a dumb onside kick with an 11 point lead and all the Mo but not enough balls to try a hard count at mid-field on 4th & 1. Doesn’t know how to coach

Who called that play??? Does not make sense?
Could be one of the stupidest calls in the Scott Frost era, and should, at the very least, be questioned by everyone. Bill Busch needs to be called out on it, and Frost needs to be asked why he didn't override the call.

If the kicker would have converted, it would have had a chance. Awaiting confirmation of such after the game from our head football coach! He can’t make them execute!

Even had they converted it, it would have been asinine.

We had an 11 point lead and all the momentum in the world. Nothing Nebraska could have gained from converting it was worth the risk of not converting.

Onside kicks are long shots and you're giving them the ball - if you don't convert - on your side of the field. This was done after taking a double digit lead and scoring the last 2 touchdowns with the momentum in your favor. No way to spin it - just STUPID

I sense the original poster of this was being sarcastic.

I just cannot under any circumstance come up with an explanation for that call. That is a call to make when you need to give your team a spark, not when they have the momentum and an 11 point lead in the 3rd quarter. It is way worse than Pelini's fake punt against Iowa where I felt it was time to fire him and move on. That play call cost them the game in my opinion. It gave NW a short field and the ability to score quick points.
Let's not kid ourselves. Pelini was a better coach. So was Callahan even. I struggle with the realization he's even worse than Mike Riley - at least at game time. Frost looked like a good hire at the time, so I don't fault anyone for hiring a guy that other schools wanted as well. But those schools would have pulled the plug two or three years ago instead of imagining things would get better.
On another note I think this team really needs to stop scheduling teams that have a literal pulse for game one. They need an absolutely godawful team that they couldn't lose to if they tried. So much of this comes down to a lack of confidence. Frost's stupid decision-making only puts more pressure on the team to overcome it all.
