Why not try small ball?

We clearly struggle defending the 3 especially off high picks, why not run Montez/Young-Geo-Caleb-Ron-Kwasi. This would also allow us to space the floor 5 out and give room for Tez/Jacob/Geo to drive and finish or kick to our best shooters. Might get hurt in the post but it's better than giving up open 3 looks all night.

I wish Pike experimented with it early in the season to see how that type of lineup would work. It's worth a try to shake things up. It creates mismatches on offense if the other team leaves their big out there. They either need to sag off and give us the 3 or defend the 3 point line and be vulnerable to get beat off the dribble and/or commit a foul. It also would help open up the lane. We have length at the guards and wings who can help make up for some of the loss of rebounding. If Myles gets in foul trouble or is struggling all the more reason to give it a try. I'd rather see small ball than Doucoure

We definitely missed Eugene yesterday. Would have eaten that kid up in the post and covered him well on the 3’a. Yesterday was a game to okay small ball if we had Eugene.

Ron and yeboah are better post defenders than eugene and more versatile. We forget that ron quietly shut down giorgi on illinois whereas eugene gotta baby’d by him and allowed 38

EO was the most overrated defender I've ever seen talked about. He took himself out of the play with charge attempts and was not good closing out on shooters. He routinely got torched by stretch 4s

He would not be covering stretch 4’s if we were playing small ball. He would have been on the 5. RHJ on the 4 or Kwasi.

We were leaving the 5 open. We adjusted too late. EO would have eaten their lunch in the paint too. Myles was dominant for a while but the refs put him in foul trouble almost every game at home and on the road and now he is not playing aggressive. He’s young so maybe they give him the veteran slack that others seem to get in this conference.

Take the ball inside and you sure as hell will open up for some easy shots both in and out...POUND the ball inside no matter who is in the way...
