Why is Cooper Manning on Fox NFL Sunday? Did we fall below some FCC threshold for Mannings on broadcast television?

He was a really talented receiver, right? So he knows the game and has the last name.

Do you feel I have given too much credit though?

He is my second favorite Manning. (#1 Peyton - went to Rocky Top, #2 Cooper - did not play football at the Plantation). The other 2 can suck it.

Was he a talented receiver?
based on what I have read- yes.

I am sure there are a lot more former SEC receivers that would be better.
better at receiving or better at being on TV?
sure there were probably better receivers, but what do that have to do with anything?

The point is- Cooper clearly knows the game of football from experience and has an on air personality that enough people seem to like.

He never even played college football. It is obvious that he is only on TV because of his last name. He was diagnosed the summer before his freshman year so he never actually played at UM.

Im aware he didnt play college football. And I already said he has the last name.

I simply dont think he managed to be hired by a TV show based only on his last name. That is too simple in my mind. More is needed.
