Why Iowa should be ranked

Iowa has responded to their losses and come out dominating teams they are superior to, as good teams do. Iowa is a good football team and deserves the respect as one… this might be one of the best Iowa teams we have had since the 2015 team as Iowa just dominated in every facet of the game. In 2 weeks they get the big boys from Oregon coming in and paybacks are a ***** … I was at the last Iowa Oregon game when they pasted Iowa like 46-3 or something like that… let’s pound the crap out of them and turnaround the following week and give USC another beatdown like the Holiday bowl and even further back when we went to Miami to watch them lose the orange bowl as that sucked ***… if they play tough and together like they did this evening they’re in their own drivers seat believe it or not… who would of expected this? Not me, that’s for sure but I am loving every second of this season thus far. 8 points from being 8-0…. WOW GO HAWKS!

Win and nobody cares, but lose and 9 times out of 10 it’s looked at nationally as a bad loss. ISU will always be ISU and one double digit win season in a bubblegum conference won’t change that.

correct, and look at ISU's last 2 games, KU and Okie ST who are very weak teams. That conference is so weak it is being taken over by Cincy and Houston and Utah (which is perenially very good)

Iowa is the only team which has given Indy a tough game as this Indy team handled oregon at oregon pretty well.

I think Iowa's power and physicality can fluster Oregon but Oregon also has that speed which Iowa needs to stop

Gary Danielson on the CBS broadcast yesterday said more than once that he watched the Iowa-Indiana game closely, and he thought Iowa should have won, and would have won if Gronowski hadn't been injured. Danielson has been around a while. He's played, and he's seen it all. He has no ties to Iowa, but it was clear he believes this Iowa team is dangerous and deserving of a lot of respect. I'd have to agree.

But yah, the ISU loss should not have happened, and Oregon only got by Wisconsin 21-7 @ Eugene yesterday, so Iowa can study the Indiana-Oregon and Wisconsin-Oregon films and come up with a great game plan over the bye week. Oregon @ Iowa is the biggest game Kinnick has seen in a while. The place will be up for grabs. Win that one, and everything is on the table.
