Why does Sam have to write this garbage?

yes … however remember Illinois was the first game of the season with a new coach - complete guess work for game prep - Frost even said that when they came out in a certain formation much of our game plan had to be shelved

way too much focus on wins and not process
And you seriously believe that a coach at this level can't adjust to formation changes on either side of the ball. Really?

It's year 5.

exactly, it’s only year 5 - something Sam fails to mention - it is a complete hatchet job by McKeon

I read in a success book that “process” “results” and “success” are all 7 letter words and that for a process to even begin showing results/
success it will take at least 7 years

that was a reference to a direct quote from Coach Frost after the Illinois game - something to the effect of half the game plan being voided because of the way Illinois lined up

These comments from Frost yesterday are classic...
“We can’t change the basis of what we do and how we do it – because I’ve seen it work before, it has worked, it will work, it does work. Particularly as close as we were in almost every game last year, we’re always looking for one little way to get that much better. Major, drastic changes probably aren’t what you need.”
“What we really need is kind of the killer instinct to finish,” Frost said. Nebraska has to “get a little wind under our sails” with a few wins.

Rinse and repeat.

Its called hyperbole. If a P 5 team can't adjust to Illinois, we need a different staff. Even HS teams learn how to adjust but I guess there needs to be a rule that teams can only run what was practiced for.

well - AD TA obviously feels differently despite not being able to adjust to Illinois

Frost still has no clue how to play against an even man front. Inexcusable for a college head coach.
