Boo boo. It’s hot. Get over it

Guy in the section next to me passed out and they did CPR for 15 minutes in the stands before he was taken out. I was talking to a security guard and they suspect it was heat related. Report of numerous heat related issues in the stands. So take your boo boo and shove it straight up your holier than thou ***. There should not be day games played in September in the SEC period.

Sept 11,2004. The week before “The Maine”. My 7.5 month pregnant wife (who was supposed to be on bed rest) begged to go to the Auburn game. It was an 11:30 kickoff. 90 degrees. Felt like 120. I got some dirty looks from some old women as we left before the half. We were fortunate that our boy wasn’t born in Davis Wade that day.

Have more fans at their game than we had at ours? That’s embarrassing. You people who didn’t show up today are pathetic

It was the difference in playing at 230 and 630.

However, there is no question OM benefits from the people of Desoto county and Memphis. State has no metro area like that in which to draw fans.

We passed 2 people receiving medical assistance on the way into the game from the SW entrance. Many fans stayed in the tents at the end opting to watch from there. And I know many people were invisible in the club and scoreboard levels because they were underneath in the AC watching instead of frying in the 122 degree heat index in those sections.

RPO you are losing the credibility you gained from predicting the suspensions (though Autry played today, not sure why he’d play this game if we have to sit him 8 games). It’s never good to drink heavily then post.

We had a decent crowd today, all things considered.

It’s always great to beat USM. I grew up in the 80s.

Ya I went today and people need not complain unless they were there and if they were truly there they wouldn’t complain.

It was miserable, my girlfriend nearly passed out before the game started and we spent the first few minutes of the game under the stands. I had a headache the rest of the day from the heat pounding on me. We left at halftime.

And don’t give me the “we did it back in our day crap”, that was the second hottest kickoff in Davis-Wade history. The student section had a heat index of 110-115. The stadium gets much hotter now due to the bowling in so there is no breeze.

It was an awful, miserable experience and idk if I’ll be at the KSU game next week if it is that hot again.

I don't do September games in the afternoon. It wouldn't even cross my mind as an option. When I plan what games I'm going to, I start with October.

Ltd get ready for a similar thread for next week’s game. Going to be 93 for the high with the 11 AM start. And the problem with that is that most of the stadium will be exposed to direct sunlight. We were fortunate yesterday on the west side that it was shaders in our seats right at kickoff. Not going to be that lucky next week.

Maybe germans but I heard OM told their fans to wear red like Arky; that woukd supposedly give the impression of more home fans. But ya can’t put lipstick on a pig.

It looked pretty full on TV, except for both ends of the east upper deck and the upper part of the north lower deck. Couldn't see what the west side looked like. I seriously doubt there ever was 55,000 there though considering the stadium only holds about 62,000. The students showed up well, but many left before the half. Can't blame them ... they were in the sun all the time.

I went to an Auburn game in DWS several years ago when the temp was around 100. It was miserable.

Well, according to them, they are just better people than us. Perhaps that is your point as well.

The weather was dangerously hot and at least one person had to be resuscitated.

So maybe your opinion is what is pathetic.

My excuse is this: A year ago I promised my precocious almost 5 year old grand daughter a Disney cruise. So here we are at Port Canaveral, dining at Fishlips and enjoying a wonderful frozen adult beverage. Sorry I couldn’t be there yesterday to hear you *****.

Yeah, very young and very old people can actually die on days like today, not a joke.

At some point we should be able to override the TV commitment by playing the “crowd safety” card.

Or maybe people can exercise personal responsibility AND common sense.

I understand that it is a different sport with different attendance numbers, but we never have trouble selling out our baseball stadium no matter how hot it is in the middle of June for regionals and super regionals. The real reason fans didn’t come is because we played USM. It being too hot is a convenient excuse and partially true. I don’t care who decides what is and is not worth it to them, but this over the top “people were scared of dying” is drama queen. People would have been hanging from the light poles if we were playing for the SEC West yesterday. We were not playing a big game and it was warm so people said “meh, I will stay home”.

So I lose credibility because I said our crowd was pathetic? It was pathetic. Like camp said if it would have been a baseball game it would have been a full house. The weather was just an excuse for people not to show up. It’s whatever though, can’t wait for the excuses this Saturday.

If 55K showed up for a game at Dudy Noble you'd have a valid comparison. As it stands, we'd have had 13K. What's your point?

They are the arm pit of the sec and they have more fans at a game than we, a program who has all the momentum in the state, has gone to 9’straight bowl games, and who currently has the egg bowl trophy. Spare me with this hot weather BS.

Post a picture you took from your seat Saturday.

This may be one of the dumbest posts I have seen lately. Let's see. Off the top of my head. What can I come up with?

1. SEC home opener.
2. Started at 6:30 or so as opposed to 2 17n 30.

Next 17n question. ****.

You should meet him at the sonic.

Wouldn't it be a hate crime to fight a mentally handicapped person like him?

Baseball is an awful comparison. First we have never had a crowd at Dudy that was a large as the one Saturday at Davis Wade......plus if we were playing for conference titles or playoff games in football it might be a slightly better comparison.

But it's an absolutely awful comparison

You really think we would have a problem filling our stadium if we played a big time opponent and our football team was as good as our baseball team? Check out the Texas A&M and Clemson game. That stadium was full. If you don’t want to go to the game it’s fine but at least be honest about why like most have been.

The second retard would be whoever the idiot is that first tried to compare a baseball crowd to a football crowd. That person really doesn't have a clue
Do you do anything beside insult people on the internet? I’m sorry you are too fat to go to a football game without having a heat stroke. Go take a lap and maybe you won’t die when the temp gets over 85 next year.
