They had all been holding a tight sphincter for 4 months. When we ONLY got to the final four, it all came flowing out. They were so happy you would think they won the championship. I really think they were happier to see us fall short than their own team win it all.

That is true. For those that have seen U of L fans posting stuff like program with most wins over the last 4 seasons is not true. UK passed them in the last 4 year win total after the SEC tournament.

This X 1000. If you look at their board you would swear they won the Championship and UK went to the NIT! Do they not realize UK beat them (again), and went further in the tournament? DELUSIONAL!!!

I think this really and truly eats them alive. Imagine your best run in 30 years...and your biggest rival was better. It has to suck.

I enjoy when they say "Cal can't coach."

If that is the truth, I wonder what they think of their HOF Coach and team is 1-7 against Kentucky over the last 8 games.

The problem with them is that they've experienced the most success they've had continuously since the early 1980's in the 6 seasons that Cal has been here, and they can't gloat about it because Cal has had more successful seasons over that time frame than Pitino has. A National Championship, a National Runner-Up, Two Final Fours, and an Elite Eight vs. A National Championship, One Final Four, and an Elite EIght, plus Cal is 7-1 vs. Pitino and we've knocked them out of 2 of the last 4 tournaments. It's really just envy and jealously.

This is sooooooo important to remember.

They have gone around bragging (until a couple losses at the end) that they were the winningest program in the NCAA over the last 4 years. They have been in the midst of their NCAA hoops heyday. Their glory years.

Yet...while at their peak performance under Pitino they are still just L1C7 to Cal and our success has been greater.

That point cannot be emphasized enough.
