Azzholes? Ive been to a lot of away games, and these hillbillies are angry. Prior to the game, they're fine. But they start whining in the stands....I saw one UK guy get chewed out for cheering too loud, then I had 2 different USC fans viciously rub the win in my face outside the arena. Fighting words.

Whats wrong with these people? You come to Rupp, we trade stories and if UK wins I wish you the best for the season. If UK loses I don't speak. I don't get the anger.

Have you read our board? Can't call out any other fan base when we have so many dbags posting on here.
It's not the same. UK fans are largely viewed as very hospitable and away fans usually leave with good stories about their experience.

I've been to 4 games at USC (3 football) and I'm usually there with a group of USC grads that I'm friends with. Every trip somebody tries to get in your face and is cussing or flipping you off or screaming "sister fkers" or other things out their windows while you're walking to the stadium.

A 1 time thing can be an exception but it's 20+ different occurances

Haters gonna hate. It's called jealousy and ignorance of how to act with success. And by success, I mean winning a game where we basically beat ourselves.

Doesn't matter. We are a football school.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time thinking about this given I lived there about 10 years. I initially just thought it was a bad lot of fans I was bumping into but after a while I came to the conclusion that it is just how they grow up and are taught by their parents and they keep handing it down. There is so much angst about program that really hadn’t accomplished anything of any magnitude until they won a couple of baseball championships recently. Their fans want to be relevant so badly and they hate the success of others. I could count on two hands the number of SC fans I have met that are humble and friendly.

At the end of the day I walked away with a disdain for their program and fans and it helped me become a fan of Clemson. SC is in my top 5 most disliked programs behind UL, NC, and IU.

I was in Disney in December 2012, right after Baylor Beat us at home. Standing in line with the kids to meet the toy story characters, a family wearing Baylor shirts were in front of us.

I complimented them on a good game and they said they know the football coach and a group went to the game (they didn’t). They said the group heard all kinds of stories about how crazy Kentucky fans were and were expecting the worse.

They went out to eat before the game and fans were coming up saying they hope it was a good game. They expected to get trashed by fans after, but said every fan was cordial, complimentary of the team, how well they played.

Kentucky fans love good basketball. If you come to Rupp and play hard, our fan base will show your team appreciation

Yep. There are countless stories like this and many opposing fans have came to this board to post their experiences and how surprised they were. I mean, we have given standing O's to an opposing team and player that just lit us up before.

I thought the USC abbreviation belonged to Southern California, who beat us in the 2001 NCAA's on my 21st birthday :( At least on my 18th birthday (3/22/98) we had a little better luck ;)

GREAT point. I’ve been to countless games and have seen a player LIGHT US UP only to be given a huge ovation from fans.

Look at that fat bloated clown wearing the 20 jersey. If he isn’t the poster child for being a IU fan, I don’t know who is.

We really do need to get Clown U back on our schedule. Granted it still won't be the same without their mascot Bobby Knight :)

They are angry, frustrated and embarrassed because UK has DOMINATED them since the beginning of time. Overall record against us is 12-51. Counting last night, they've won 2 of the last 12 games we've played them.

They have the little brother syndrome with North Carolina* and the fact we have beaten them in football and basketball lately is more than they can take.
