Why are people complaining

It was a good win. A road SEC win.

But it was also annoying. We were up 30-15 in the first half of this game. We extended the lead yet again in the second half.

I think people complain because they can see flashes of what this team can do but then they end up doing something dumb. The basketball IQ isn't there with this squad and so it's frustrating.

It doesn't take away from the W. But I think the ones that are complaining are thinking about March and whether or not this team can put six games together. It's a valid concern. You can be both excited and happy for the win yet concerned.

Concerned because we hung on & won? Lol, you people have issues.
Your first sentence answers why people are concerned, and your last sentence is the problem. Brother if you don’t think beating a **** team barely and letting them hang around all night isn’t a little concerning than you have problems. So you think the careless turnovers, terrible passing, and pissing down their leg in crunch time is okay. I’ll steal a phrase from you, “ LOL you people have issues” blind loyalty is what leads to problems, Kentucky won yes, but Kentucky is a program that should expect more, some of the things last night don’t lead to good results vs better competition for Kentucky

Do you watch college basketball? What you watched is not all that uncommon. Keeping the win is what's important at the end of the day. Are there things to address? Always with any team & any game. Fatigue played a factor in the late turnovers as well.

Florida without Castleton is below average. We had them down by 17 and let them come back to take a halftime lead. That is a serious concern. Never could seem to put them away in the 2nd half either. Interior defense is still a major problem.
If Florida had been at full strength it is very likely they win.
All true.

Because they let a **** team hang around, and let them do literally the two things they needed to do to stay in the game. Turnovers and open 3s were the only shot they had and Kentucky let them do both and made terrible passes. Also I don’t know how anybody can’t watch the last 3:30 and not be concerned about Kentucky in crunch time
only the ccc lovers would be satisfied with this type of game......blowing a 15 point lead & letting a team without their best player hang around till the end
that is the change & acceptance of being mediocre under ccc has UK sunk too

Sure and yes, I get where you and coming from, I watch a lot of college basketball, and Kentucky doesn’t have the room for error some teams have. Last night was a good win when you can win on the road, I just wish they would stop the terirble passes and careless turnovers, do that and this team can compete with any team

Agree, I don’t know how anybody can watch last night and not have some concerns, about late game execution, passing and some other things

Plenty of people on here say they never watch. I think they are all, at least most, lying. They think it is cool to protest and say "I don't watch". It's like the people that say they have never listened to Matt Jones, but ***** about everything he says.
Yeah I agree. They are full of ****

My point was the bad passes and lazy close outs on defense were the reason Florida was in the game. Agree completely on Livingston him improving every game has been one of best things to see, as is toppin improving. The offense is good, just wish they would not implode late. But they are getting better or trying harder, get wheeler & Frederick and let’s see what this team can do
Florida was in the game because of turnovers. Kentucky was scoring almost at will when they did not turn the ball over. The defense lapses hurt but without the turnovers it would have been around a 15 point win.

A conference road win is always a good thing. Team seems to be figuring it out. Still not sure how they’ll do against a high quality team. They laid a lot of eggs against the better teams this year. Definitely room for improvement despite what the world’s happiest cheerleaders say.
This. I’m always glad for a win. Especially on the road. And you all know what I always say about conference games, whether by one or 100 just get the dub.

All that aside. We just are so inconsistent this season. We’ve let bad teams punk us at times. We’ve also come out a smacked a couple of good teams around. It think that’s why some, myself included were frustrated. Just don’t know which team is gonna show up. And that’s dangerous in March because one bad game and your season is done.

No reason to complain, but no reason to act over the top thrilled either. We won a road game we should’ve won in not so spectacular fashion, but we covered the spread. Meh. On to the next one.

For sure, that’s the frustrating part, Florida was only in the game because of Kentucky

I’d like to lodge a formal complaint please
I'm going to find more to complain about because there's not enough complaining around our board these days. In fact, I need to complain about me not complaining about more things, in general. Not enough negativity around here.....

what's that that? ..... oh. my bad ....

Just get me the road win......watching how CBB is officiated all over the country in road games, just get a W and get on bus and out of town before they bring you back to play longer and take it from you.

Now I fully understand and share many concerns from fans who are upset with the play, but from where this program was 2 weeks ago to now, at least they fulfilled one wish of mine-to see them in NCAA Tournament. Not saying that is my lowered expectation but you can't fix what is done, only can control what's in front of you and they have won some big games, 2 of which were on the road. I'm reserved to just hoping for the best and making my assessment of things for after the season because I don't want to ruin any threads/fun for those who are positive and just want to enjoy the games.

Positive aspect is that Cal's riding his FR, cut his rotation, and this is how his teams consistently produce better results. Will it work in long run/bigger picture? We'll get to see it play out, but the short term success was necessary and happy to see it happen.

At this point, every win is a big one. You take it and move on. Slugging out hard wins on the road is not that uncommon. Even in our best years. But 9-16 and St. Peter’s ushered in a zero tolerance mentality. Cal and the team pissed away a lot of grace with the fans after that. This Uber negativity is just here to stay until we win big.

We got problems for noticing clear problems. Kentucky was the reason Florida was in the game tonight, the terrible turnovers and bad defense are what let them stay in the game. Kentucky isn’t satisfied with just winning. Kentucky is Kentucky we have expectations
This! But some people can't see the big picture. They see a SEC road win. Which is fine. But good UK teams destroy that Florida team. Not hang on for a win.

You seem to be pretty invested as a fan. Using “we” and stuff when your talk about Kentucky. But You seriously won’t watch any of the games? That’s kinda weird man
Has to do with a medical condition. Episodic Ataxia. Emotional or physical stress causes episodes and every year it gets harder to watch live games. I check the score after the game and wait for the highlights or replays (if we win). So that is the short answer of it. Love the CATS. Used to go to games all the time. Now I live back in the 70's when the only way to watch (most games) was a replay on Channel 27 in Lexington at 1130pm after the news. lol

This team can win ugly games & it's why they'll probably thrive in the NCAA tournament. A lot of those games are grinding games which this team seems to like.
Good point. Told the wife last night that all these close games, while they are tough to watch, are hopefully preparing us for the inevitable close games in the tournament.

Because they complain about everything all the time. That's who they are. And why nobody in their life wants to be around them for very long.
I don't like the negativity, but one man's happiness is another man's misery.
Twilight Zone got it wrong when they said " people are alike all over".

Oh, I think Kentucky fans can complain. If you are looking big picture.

I, for one, believe that with the resources UK has it is not unreasonable to expect a nationally ranked team, capable of competing for a national champion most years.

Now, if you are talking of complaints the last ten days or the last game….. different story.

I do not think any UK fans should be happy with the current big picture.
