Why are people complaining

Because they let a **** team hang around, and let them do literally the two things they needed to do to stay in the game. Turnovers and open 3s were the only shot they had and Kentucky let them do both and made terrible passes. Also I don’t know how anybody can’t watch the last 3:30 and not be concerned about Kentucky in crunch time

We got problems for noticing clear problems. Kentucky was the reason Florida was in the game tonight, the terrible turnovers and bad defense are what let them stay in the game. Kentucky isn’t satisfied with just winning. Kentucky is Kentucky we have expectations

Heck did not watch. Do not watch any more. Read up after the game is over and then watch the highlights. I will take the W at this point. We need to keep taking care of business and maybe we can be a 3 seed in the SEC tourney. Possibly win 1 or 2 in the SEC and be a 6th or 7 seed in NCAA's. If we lose out from here we are in the Tourney but by the skin of our teeth. We really need to play great against Auburn on Saturday.

Kentucky was favored by 2.5 and covered. Road games are hard. Enjoy the win

Good win. We made some dumb mistakes and still won on the road.
Yeah, this is how I would sum it up also. It was certainly far from a perfect game. We had chances to put them away and didn't do it until the very end. We had double digit leads in both halves and gave them away. There is room for a critique, no doubt.

However, it was a league road game against a Florida team with nothing to lose and has the talent to cause people problems when their shots are falling. And of course, they had a couple guys have career nights. I'll take the win and move on.

Probably because Cal has lost the benefit of the doubt at this point, so it’s hard to get too excited about out long term potential for the season even after what was a decent win on paper. That’s especially true when we didn’t really show a ton of improvement in any of the areas that have been our downfall recently (turnovers, inconsistent defense, over reliance on long 2s, stall ball with a late lead, etc.). Maybe I should learn to just let go and only focus on enjoying a win in the moment, but it’s hard to get it out of the back of my mind that we still don’t look like serious contenders for March.

No complaints from me. A win on the road. This time of year you hope the team is getting better. They are. This team has limits for sure.

I can't fix or change anything. I'm just hoping for wins. USCjr and UGA losses still haunt me, but it's almost March, survive and advance.

Looking at these threads, you would’ve thought we lost. Celebrate these wins. Conference road wins are always good. Not to mention we’re just improving seedlings at this point. Try being positive. It’s fun !
Because some people can't enjoy life without finding something to ***** about. Unless we win 100-0 there are people on here that are not happy. "How did we give up that layup at the buzzer when we had a shutout going". An 8 point win on the road while being a 2 point favorite is a good day, but some people can't be made happy.

Nice road win, a few head scratching plays but at the end of the day take the W and move on. Wish we could get a player or 2 back before the end of the regular season.

You seem to be pretty invested as a fan. Using “we” and stuff when your talk about Kentucky. But You seriously won’t watch any of the games? That’s kinda weird man

Plenty of people on here say they never watch. I think they are all, at least most, lying. They think it is cool to protest and say "I don't watch". It's like the people that say they have never listened to Matt Jones, but ***** about everything he says.

Most complaints were during game and were very much valid, anyone who is still complaining after winning is weird for sure.

Florida without Castleton is below average. We had them down by 17 and let them come back to take a halftime lead. That is a serious concern. Never could seem to put them away in the 2nd half either. Interior defense is still a major problem.
If Florida had been at full strength it is very likely they win.

They were missing their best player but we’re still missing 1 starter & our sixth man. Not at all equal but at least comparable.

Neither team is great. Road environment. End of season game. Fighting for conference byes. Fighting for ncaa seeding. Minimal, if any subs for the entire second half. Tired legs but still pulled out the win.

All things considered - I’ll take it with a smile.

Now on to the next one.

Livingston improving every game. Toppin and Oscar had a great game. Wallace not so great, but good enough. I believe Wallace is just getting worn down from playing so many minutes. Reeves had a good game. Defense has to get better, but we won, so can’t really *****. Some posters see the glass half empty some see it half full about the norm these days. Be happy don’t worry every little thing going to be alright, man.

A team like Florida down a key player can actually be dangerous especially at home. Players that normally don’t play or step up and get the ball more to make plays.

At least with Cal-coached teams that seems to be the case historically (K-State & Auburn both come to mind)

Do you not think the late execution is a problem and the terrible passing. Road wins are tough and Kentucky should enjoy it a little bit there are still problems
Of course. They’re certainly not perfect. But this is the best we’ve been all year. With the emergence of Livingston and Toppin. It’s completely changed our team. If Cason can get his shot back (he does need either Frederick or Wheeler back to help getting him more rest), then this team will be even better. All you can ask for is improvement. And I’ve seen it

Well I highly doubt we’ll go too far in the tournament. But I like to enjoy the moment. I like the overall improvement. If people just worry about March, then they forget to enjoy the journey. Sure you want to go to the final 4 and win championships. But once it’s over, it’s over. I love the journey

My point was the bad passes and lazy close outs on defense were the reason Florida was in the game. Agree completely on Livingston him improving every game has been one of best things to see, as is toppin improving. The offense is good, just wish they would not implode late. But they are getting better or trying harder, get wheeler & Frederick and let’s see what this team can do

They have 2 things they can control that hurt them last night, terrible passing led to Florida baskets multiple times and bad close outs and defense, they can fix some of that

This team can win ugly games & it's why they'll probably thrive in the NCAA tournament. A lot of those games are grinding games which this team seems to like.
