When this state inevitably trips over its own dick when deciding on what to do with a 17'ing state flag, who's your next team up?

I'm thinking LSU mostly because I can go visit some family down in Baton Rouge... and they are pretty competitive. I could tailgate with some good jambalaya and crawfish.

or maybe The University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley. You know, just bottom out my expectations for football. A palate cleanser of sorts.

What say ye pack?

It's going to have to be a team from outside of the SEC. I have expressed my hatred for each fan base enough to where I don't know if I can convince myself to cheer for one.

Alabama. I was a kid and made an emotional decision in November 1980. Time to make a change.

My daughter went to Auburn and my girlfriend is an Auburn fan. I guess I have my next team.

Maybe Clemson. I’ve been chatting with a friend who works there about maybe going to the NC State game in early September.

I don’t think I could ever have true passion for another team but if I had to choose one it’d probably be UNC. Most of my family lived in NC for a couple centuries and I’ve always liked Carolina blue.

I’ve got close relatives who’ve attended and earned degrees from Carolina and Duke.

Edit to add: The past couple years I’ve tried to root for Indiana when visiting relatives (a cousin has a degree from there and her oldest is a current student at IU) but when I’m there, the Hoosiers are playing Purdue and I can’t help but root for the land grant school.

BYU. The polygamy isn’t offensive to anyone anymore, so it’s safe**
If Jennie Finch hadn’t retired, whatever team she’s on.

I think I’d be done with college sports. I’d move either to St. Louis or Miami and invest my sports time in the Cardinals (assuming MLB does not just fold) or the Dolphins.

LSU or Arkansas

College baseball is the only sport I attend in large quantity. Those two are the next best options.

I'll go with Arkansas because living a mountain life in the middle of the Ozarks sound nice right about now.

17 it. I just don't care. I'll watch and root for MSU if we're playing. If not, I'll just watch European soccer and pull for Liverpool, which I'll do whether we play or not.
