That's a fair statement and probably true. But still like my teams chancesReidsville is favorite. East Duplin and West Craven only comp in east.
Brevard favorite in west. Maiden, Newton, Burns, Stuart Cramer, Hibriten and Bandys in the mix.
West has more competitive teams.
You got to get Rambbq to open Short Sugars back up!! Where we gonna eat??Hoping to see you in Reidsville!!![]()
Of the top 8, Cramer & Pisgah have by far the toughest games.Which top seeds have toughest game this week. If Brevard has few players banged up West Stokes may hand around. Some speed in backfield
Trust me our kids have heard (from their own coaches) Texas A&M Johnny Manziel is rolling into Cramer on Friday. Looking forward to seeing him in person. Also hoping we are the last ones to see him in person. Should be a very entertaining game.Of the top 8, Cramer & Pisgah have by far the toughest games.
Love how you're thinking, but Maiden will need much better OL play than they've been getting in order to make a serious run. Honestly, Maiden's OL play, both run blocking and especially pass blocking, has been really bad over the last four games. Not sure how many sacks, QB pressures, and holding penalties they've had over the past four games, but the numbers have to be astronomical. That was understandable against superior teams like Hickory and East Lincoln, but not acceptable against lesser defenses like Bandys and Newton-Conover. Maiden had some really bad luck against N-C, and could have won the game despite the bad OL play. But, aside from some bad luck, the main reason N-C, roughly a 10-point underdog against Maiden, beat us was that their much quicker off the ball DL absolutely dominated our OL. If that doesn't change, Maiden will have a really difficult time beating N-C in the anticipated re-match in the third round. My heart says Burns. But realistically our championship window is likely the next 2-3 years with next year being a real shot.
I'm actually gonna go Maiden this year.
I may have to make that tripYou got to get Rambbq to open Short Sugars back up!! Where we gonna eat??
He's back. Coaches have made OL a priority these two weeks. Along that same subject line, and sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know the status of Maiden guard Baylor Duncan? Is he out for the season, or does he have a chance to play at some point in the playoffs, hopefully sooner rather than later?
Not saying y'all can't win. Just saying y'all have one of the toughest games this week.Trust me our kids have heard (from their own coaches) Texas A&M Johnny Manziel is rolling into Cramer on Friday. Thankfully that kid is a senior this year so none of us will have to deal with him next yearNot saying we will win, and yes I agree with you.
That's what we're saying...been a headache every year to gameplan forThankfully that kid is a senior this year so none of us will have to deal with him next year![]()
KM guy said they had the best offensive scheme they seen all season and KM played some really good teams. Said we better have a spy faster than Usain Bolt to watch himThat's what we're saying...been a headache every year to gameplan for
I know what you ain’t saying OldwayI may have to make that trip
Thanks for the good news. Much appreciated. I honestly believe we have the team to make a run this year if we can get better OL play. Our QB is pretty accurate with his throws when he isn't being constantly pressured, and RB Wingate gives 100% every time he touches the ball. Glad to hear the OL has been under the microscope the past two weeks. Hope that pays off against N-C, assuming that we can get past a good North Surry team this Friday. Never any guarantees. He's back. Coaches have made OL a priority these two weeks. Trust me it hasn't gone unnoticed!
You're spot on. NS having #3 back changes their dynamic a lot. They used him sparingly in the Salisbury game...we'll get a full dose. He's a threat to score everytime he touches the ball. Thanks for the good news. Much appreciated. I honestly believe we have the team to make a run this year if we can get better OL play. You guys are super toughIma go with my rams. Neal-Harrison and company
How does he compare to the athletes at wideout for Maiden? It appears they got 4 out there that can go get one. Was at the Watauga scrimmage early in the year and was impressed by the physicality of Maiden. You're spot on. NS having #3 back changes their dynamic a lot.
