Before Jake led off the 9th, I accidentally switched audio sources on my living room sound bar to the Amazon music app on my computer, which was playing Earth, Wind, and Fire. After I watched him double to "Let's Groove," I decided not to switch back until the game was over. Watched and heard a lot of hits that inning.

I remember seeing that kick on live television. I believe it was 63 yards. The shoe on his kicking foot had a wide, flat front which probably wouldn't work with today's soccer-style kicking. But it worked for him. Tom Dempsey was his name.

Same for me -- I read every night. Last night I checked in on the game with my iPhone while reading and couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I called it a night after the 7th. I swear if I would’ve kept watching things would’ve gone differently.**

Strangest thing, I knew we were going to win the whole time. I wasn’t sure how, but I never got worried or nervous, just kind of curious to see how this one would play out. Pretty cool finish.

Yep, after the unearned run in the 8th. Did listen to Jim (which is what I have done on most games regardless of TV coverage) at the moment that Tanner walked.

After it was 4-3, wife handed me remote to change it back. I said nope, if I watch now, we will loose.

Sorry, to put the game in jeopardy like that. It won’t happen again this trip.

I have to say this. When we made that bonehead throw to third and allowed a hit batsman to score late like that. I thought. Yep. We will lose by that run.

And we would have. Had it not been for the first base overthrow.
