Who to root for tonight?

Indiana hosts Purdue next and then hosts Rutgers.

I do not like the timing of that Indiana game.

Interesting night. Northwestern played as good a first half as they could and attacked Iowa but of course they let Iowa get free for 3 late 3’s to let them tie at the half at 39-39. Sandfort got hot at the end of the half and in the second half and wound up with 20 + points. Final score not indicative of how close that game was. Iowa has 1 more at home on this 3 game home stand against Illinois. Illinois looked like crap for 30+ minutes , Do not let the final score fool you. Not a great win over Nebraska and Underwood was so upset at halftime , he came out with 8 minutes left in the halftime break and sat on the bench alone with a clipboard. Let his assistants talk to his team. . Never seen that before nor did the announcer. Nebraska just turned the ball over too much in the second half early , got the lead at 52-50 and then turned it over again. Not sure what to think of Illinois. Weird team this year.


Williard has copied Pike and gone to a full court press to slow down teams and create turnovers and it has worked. They took care of business at home winning 3 straight and got Indiana totally out of rhythm . Woodson was not happy with the reffing which is always a screw job for the road team. Maryland had 0 turnovers in the first half. We turned them over all night which was the difference in our game.

Not sure we learned too much tonight except maybe Northwestern is a lot tougher this year and their guards are playing great and their roles layers are buying in. I predict they will bury Iowa in the rematch in 5 games.

Not sure but I do not like it. Look at the games we pressed most of the game and look at the games Maryland has won since they have pressed all game and there are an awful lot of wins in those games.

I thought Illinois looked very vulnerable. NW is good.
Just when I thought Indiana might not lose again…
Think Indiana will beat Purdue at Indy on Saturday. Hope we get a hung over Indy and beat them again.
NW is basically us.
Maryland is better than people think.
