Houston and SMU. Memphis will make another push but will probably not get in, again. Maybe they make a run at Colorado and Utah.

I don't think it survives. Kansas has already reached out to Big 10. I would expect other schools to begin kicking the tires on other conferences. The problem is that beyond possibly Oklahoma St, there are not a lot of teams that if I was a conference commissioner I would want to add to my conference out of the Big 12.

I just don’t know that there are 2 programs that can remotely even come close to helping make up the revenue they are about to lose. I think it’s the end of the big 12. Just a wild guess at what could make sense:

Kansas and ok state to big 10
West Virginia to ACC
Texas tech and TCU to pac 10

Everyone else it’s just hard to find a good fit. You gotta think Iowa state and Kansas state land somewhere.

I doubt it survives, similar to Big East. It's Texas' conference, so once they are gone, the whole thing folds. Whoever is left after the P5 raids it (if that happens), will get folded into the Mountain West and AAC, and those conferences will rise.

West Virginia will either go ACC or AAC. The rest will be open to B1G or PAC-12 obviously. If the MWC gets K-State, Oklahoma State, Baylor and TCU, they'd be a damn good conference. Assuming Texas Tech goes PAC-12. If I'm the PAC-12 I'd steal Oklahoma State too.

ACC would do well to get Notre Dame and West Virginia. Bo Bounds seems to think they try to dip into TX, seems TCU would be the play there.

Even if TCU ends up in the MWC or AAC, they are a good example of elevating their brand, if only temporarily. Should quell some of the fears of people thinking that MSU will get kicked out of the SEC. Won't happen, but if it does, we'd be alright.

All that said, I could see the ACC grabbing a DFW area team.

They have a lot of options if you look at it, but the biggest problem is that the current members will all be looking to bolt, even though it doesn't seem like more than 1 or 2 of them will get serious interest from the other conferences. I don't buy the PAC or Big Ten adding schools that don't fit.

If they stuck together, they could easily add some hodgepodge of MWC and AAC schools. Get back to 12 and make it make geographic sense and they can still try to make a claim at being a premier conference. What they should not do is add any more teams east of the Mississippi. Be the conference of Texas and the Great Plains.

Houston, SMU, Wyoming, CSU, and Air Force all seem like decent options. Tulsa and Rice are there. Talk to BYU. If you can keep OSU, KSU, TCU, ISU, Baylor, and TTech you can still have a viable conference.

I've had it for 45+ years. It gets louder when I'm around loud music or drink a lot but never gets any softer. My hearing is ok except in noisy rooms like restaurants with many different sounds, I can't hear the person next to me in those situations. I sleep with sound machine or can cranked up otherwise it drives me crazy
