seems when we kick the opponent gets it at the 30 line at least.
and we start at the 10.

the extra point deal is also a problem

the first seems fixable, the latter I guess is the result of injuries

If we can’t kick it in the end zone we are going to have to get more air under the ball or squib it. Yesterday we were trying to kick it into the end zone but were kicking line drives that optimized conditions for a return.

It's not the coaches fault that the only player left can only hit the goal line by line driving it. And then hurs it right to the dude.

Nobody saw a kicker injury coming. They are pretty damn rare.

We started at the 25, because they kicked it out of the end zone every time. Our kicking is really hurting our coverage unit. Worried about what OSU return guys might do.

Our kickoff coverage needs to be a lot better and we need to figure our how to setup a punt return. I don't know the stats but I'm guessing we're around dead last in punt return average. He's probably not the problem most of the time, but I'm not a fan of having JD Spielman returning punts. He's our #1 receiver plus I think we have more dynamic players on the roster we could use.

Might not be a bad idea to kick it out of bounds every time and limit their field position to the 35. Or at least kick it within 6 feet of OOB with the same result.

I think the reality is that different grad assistants/assistants to the coaches primarily handle the various special team functions. Jovan supervises those efforts overall.
