I know this is off track for this thread but it reminded me of this. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Waiting patiently behind, (usually a woman) at a store like Walmart or grocery store while they ring up a whole shopping cart full of groceries. Then once the last item has been rung and they give her the total, only then does she begin to look in her purse for her checkbook. Then takes about 5 minutes to write the check. I know I should be more patient but this has happened to me a couple of times and it absolutely drives me crazy. How hard is it to put the date, the name of the store and your signature on the check while it's being rung up then fill in the amount when it's time? Sorry, rant over.
Then you have to wait for them to fill out their little ledger. You ARE being patient and you're not alone, it bugs me as well. But we share civilization with everyone else so we must be civil.

Ha, true.

I don't remember either er saying it out loud, but inside I'm yelling "at least fill out the portion you're able to!"
