Tez can stay with anyone.
But don’t be mad if he gets some open 3s.
I don’t think you can take away the 3s without allowing his deadly pull up jumper.
He’s going to get his points, but make it hard
Yeah, I think Dosunmu had 36 in the loss to Mizzou. Just make Illinois one-dimensional and we can beat them even when Dosunmu goes off.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Pike run a box-and-one, which is good because Dasunmo would break it down pretty easily and either pull up on a mid-range jumper, dish to Cockburn underneath or Georgi on the wing. Cliff will have his work cut out with Cockburn, but Cliff will pose some challenges for Cockburn due to Cliff’s athleticism. He’s gonna be taken to school, but Cockburn takes everyone to school. Myles can also limit him due to his length, but I expect Myles to get in foul trouble.

Two things are key in this game—pressing so we shorten their shot clock, and limiting our turnovers. We pose matchup problems for them when we’re on offense, so if we don’t turn the ball over more than ten times we’ll be in position to win this game.
It'll be interesting to see how Cliff tries to defend Kofi. I wonder if he will use his speed to get down the court and battle for position and try his best to get good position and make Kofi shoot over him... orrr he could try to use his length and athleticism to try to deny the entry pass and front him.

Keep in mind Kofi can't play all game and barring foul trouble we will likely see Pike have Myles minutes all be when Kofi is on the court.

Kofi 24 mpg 27 last year
Myles 21 mpg 24 last year

We will likely see a lot more Cliff vs Giorgi where Cliff's length and athleticism is a much better matchup for us.

The wrench in this plan is that Myles has been coming off the bench

Does Pike give Myles the start to match up with Kofi since he is the biggest beast in the B1G? If he doesn't, it may save Myles but Cliff's lack of experience and weight disadvantage could lead to Cliff in early foul trouble.
