Who else thinks LSU, UGA, ARK, can pull some upsets

Kind of hard to root for arky right now.

LSU has enough talent to win a few games, but they are nearly a lock to choke.

UGA has a tough first round game.

LSU isn't coached well enough to win any big game, even against Mark Gottfried.

Georgia loses to Michigan State, and Arkansas gets pounded by UNC, if they're able to get past Wofford.

Pretty much how I see it, unfortunately.

i just did my bracket and here is how i have the SEC teams doing

lsu gets to the elite 8 and loses to Providence ( Providence comes out of east )

UGA loses to UVA in the 2nd round

Arkansas goes to the elite 8 and loses to Zona

Ole Miss gets 2 wins ( since they are in play in ) but loses in round of 32 to Baylor .

UK plays ISU in the championship game and wins title

LSU has good players, but their coach is an idiot so I'll take NC State in that matchup. Georgia and Michigan State is an interesting game and while I'd like to pick Georgia for the SEC, Izzo has his team playing well right now. I do think Ole Miss will take care of BYU and Arkansas can make a Sweet 16 run.

I don't like UGA vs. Mich St, I think they go down there.

Ark can and should beat Wofford and beat UNCheat. Nearly impossible for them to make it past Wiscy after that.

LSU is impossible to predict. They could lose to NC St. by 20 or they could beat them and knock off Nova. Who knows.

This. No SEC team, other than UK will get out of the first weekend. Only Arkansas will even win one game.

UNC would be an awful matchup for Arkansas. They love to run, and have the athletic bigs to give Portis fits.

I'm just not impressed from what I've seen from Arkansas. Terrible guard play. I wouldn't be shocked if they lay an egg against Wofford.

Johnny Jones coaching LSU versus Mark Gottfried coaching NC State...this is not gonna be a strategic matchup.

Should be dubbed the Paper Bag Classic.

Arkansas may win 1 game. Don't have much hope for the rest. Possibly Ole Miss with one win but I wouldn't bet on it.

UGA may have a chance because I think MSU is going to be "down" after losing the game today they had won.

I think they could go winless. Arkansas may very well lose to Wofford but they should be done the first weekend.

The problem is: do they want it?

I'm working on my draft order now, brackets in a bit. But I'm making sure to give ZERO weight on how they played against UK. Each and every one of them played 110% or greater, yet crapped the bed a multitude of times. Not trying to rag on the SEC, but the wins HAD to come from somewhere, and there will always be at least 2-3 teams from the SEC to make it.

Sad, because the talent is there for all of them, but will they care if the other team doesn't have two "K"s on the jersey?

Arky is the one who could rattle off 2 maybe 3 wins though.. but then again, they could also play thug ball, and if the refs have none of it, end the game before it even starts with foul trouble.

I think all 3 could win their first games. I give LSU about a 20% chance of beating Villanova, and I give Arkansas a 30% chance of beating UNC. This is based on the fact that North Carolina is not very good at taking care of the ball. Arkansas could take advantage.

This. No way is LSU beating NCST; the only way it happens is if Mark Gottfried manages to get outcoached by Johnny friggin Jones (look at that sentence; when is the last time that Gottfried outcoached anyone? but in this case, it would be an upset if he didn't).

Georgia is well-coached, but MSU is better. I'd be very surprised if Georgia won that game.

Arkansas may win a game, but after that, they're done. Ole Miss will likely lose to BYU.

UK will be the lone SEC team standing after week 1.

I feel like they all got favorable brackets (away from us) so they can make some noise

I firmly believe the SEC will only have 1 school left in the field after the first weekend. None of the other schools are that good and are poorly coached. The only SEC school that I respect are South Carolina and Auburn. Both will be a force to reckon with if given a few years to be helmed by their respective coaches. Mark my words that LSU will be terrible next year. Regardless of Simmons arrival.

I'm afraid Georgia got a bad draw right out of the gate ,Arkansas and LSU will win one for sure and will be close to making the Sweet 16,if Arkansas can play hard foul without fouling out against UNC they might move on.

LSU will have a tough 2nd game against Villanova,SEC got some bad seeding imo

I think Ole Miss loses in the play in game to BYU

Kentucky will take it all though

The team I most trust is Georgia, but they have a really tough first game. Is Kenny Gaines gonna play? Arkansas might win 1 game. Don't trust LSU as far as I can throw them.

The SEC will be 6-4 in the tourney. Not a game will be won by anyone other than UK. I was hopeful for Georgia, but they are so beat down with injuries, I think they're finished. The rest are just bad against anyone not UK. Arkansas.....well I just hope they lose, very very bad.

""It was very tense," said guard Kenny Gaines, who missed the SEC tournament semifinal loss to Arkansas resting a foot injury but said he is "probably 7,000 percent" sure he will play Friday."

Every year I fool myself into thinking a SEC school other than UK will play well in the NCAA. Not this year. I refuse to pick any other SEC school. I have been burned too many times.
