I'm on the fence with that kind of behavior but you have to give college players some slack. This is the top of the world for these guys so let them play when they make a really big play. I can't stand when they do things like that when they just made an ordinary play in the game. Of course, they see the pro ball players do it when they make a put out to first on an infield grounder or in football catch the ball for a simple 5 yard gain.

That’s definitely the risk you take with antics like this. One just has to make sure it fires his guys up more than it fires the other dugout up. Like I said, I like it, but if you go that route you better be able to back it up.

The fundamental flaws of Virginia base running combined with the textbook of “what not to do” fundamentals of Stanford bother me way more. Stanford was a disaster waiting to happen after about the sixth inning. And tonight a lead off double for Virginia in the 6th with what appeared to be zero plan to get said runner to third bothers me infinitely more than a pitcher acting silly
