"One of the facts of life is that talent attracts talent. It's part of our human condition. If you're a new college graduate and you have an offer from Google and one from BlackBerry which would you choose? Almost everyone would pick Google - the talent you'd be working with would make you better, they exposure you would get, the brand prestige to just say you work at Google is enough for some. Plus once you have Google on your resume, it's a ticket for your next job in whatever you want to do next. Yes, maybe some would say "I'm going to bring BlackBerry back to prominence", but almost everyone who had an offer from Google would rather go there.
