A lot can be read into his comments. I think it'd be more accurate to say that a good quarterback wants to win badly, believes he is the guy to take the team there, and isn't afraid to step on some toes. He's loud and vocal, setting an example with what he says and then backing it up with what he does. He is a sore loser and a cocky winner.

I said it was a distraction . I nor anyone else know whether he thinks he needs a distraction. It certainly will help that Nebraska has an OC that can coach up the players and call the plays on game days. The HC can oversee the work and focus on motivating the team . I do not know anything about the OC but Pitt had a good year with regard to W and L . Know nothing of the strength of their schedule but Nebraska got him to take job when the situation may not be that stable for their HC.

I liked him, class act along with laundry, all though he beat the purple people eaters, and I like whoever is playing dallas..
I just went bradshaw, montana, brady cause they can fill a hand full of rings

Yep. Huge misconception that "being a prick" is something like you see from Spencer Rattler on TV

Like when your center spends 1.5 seasons hiking the ball over your head causing you to get your head ripped off?

Michael Jordan comes to mind. He wasn't a QB but he was always the unquestioned leader of his team. MJ was probably the most frustrating teammate ever and potentially the #1 A-hole of all time!!!

Jeff George and Ryan Leaf were two of the biggest pricks in NFL history to play QB.

Amazing how they weren't incredibly successful.

Whipple noted he can navigate through a depth chart with several quarterbacks on it, if necessary.

"We had seven quarterbacks at Pitt," he said. "I guess I was a nice guy. None of them wanted to transfer. Some days I wanted them to transfer. Other days, it was, 'Fine, stay.'
