We used him correctly. You go to him in the 7th and he’s probably burned for the weekend if he finishes the game. That extra inning probably saved him for Sunday. Your middle relief has to be able to get you through one inning without giving up three runs.

The bigger issue is that the rest of our bullpen has been inconsistent in conference play, That game shouldn’t have been as close as it was. Need one or two more guys to step up and be reliable day in and day out for us.
