Where is the talent?

I understand Cal built this team, and his deficiencies as a coach. I'm talking about player talent.
I'm of the opinion, this is not a talented team. Allen shoots well, Jackson blocks shots well. no one else does anything special.
no scoring threat that draws a double team. no one can drive to he basket and finish. no great passer. no great rebounder. no great free throw shooter. (outside of Allen) poor shooting all around. they can play good team defense on occasion. I'm not even sold on potential, especially at the guard position. maybe I'm not looking hard enough, or too blind to see.
for those of you that continue to say this is a talented team...please explain!

Sarr is a solid 4 .. you can’t turn him into Shaq.
Jackson is superb shot blocker and above average rebounder .
Allen is what he is . A knock down three point guy with size .
Brooks has some skill , needs to let the game come to him instead of forcing it so much .
Mintz has experience , Askew has came a mile since November .
Its a 8-4 type team with almost any coach in America . Except the 10 mil a year guy .

How many games this season have we went without Sarr and Allen on the floor together ? They are our best 2 scorers and rarely see any Time together .. he might be in the HoF , but he’s blown it horribly this year .

Mintz experience is not talent.
Askew progress is not talent.
I said..Cal is not the topic of discussion.
Brooks has some skill... maybe, but no special talent.
I said Allen can shoot.
I said Jackson blocks shots.
you have not made one credible statement to he contrary to what I have stated.

If you’re wanting the talent that we had in 2010-2015, it’s not happening anymore. Cal was the king of the One&Done and then other coaches started. That’s over now👍 These kids have figured out that they can stay home and still be a lottery pick if they’re that good..

Ok dummy , they all suck *** , and it’s no wonder Cal can’t win with them ? You happy ?
Sarr’s number from the ACC prove he has talent.
I didn’t say we were the 80s Lakers but there is enough talent there to be above average as a team .
ok, I guess I am a dummy. I ask for evidence to support talent on this team and all you come up with... is I am a dummy. that's a special kind of talent you possess...right there.

all I am talking about is talent on this team. not the talent I want and not Cal's coaching. read the first post!
I pose a simple question. not trying to start a **** slinging contest. if you can't read a post and respond to the topic as presented, then go back to scribbling in your coloring book!

We have no shooters, Alabama’s back up center has a better shooting average than anyone on our team not named Allen. He made a couple threes against us. You can’t play the modern game without players that can shoot.

I hear from fans, sports writers, announcers, and coaches. that this team has an abundance of talent. I'm just not seeing future NBA. players... drafted even on potential.

That may be the funniest thing I've ever seen on this board. A guy uses dummy in his username and then gets insulted and angry when someone calls him by it. Lol
nice to see you are easily amused, Phillip. although aggravated at people that cannot respond to a post intelligently. I'm not angry, nor do I claim to be brilliant. I'm just an average dude...with a big *ick!

It’s a talented team that needs a couple of years together. Unfortunately, it will be together a grand total of 9 months when it is all said and done.

Hard to develop chemistry with 10 guys that never played together before in just a few months.

Phillip...not an insult, but you lack reading/comprehension skills.
You're the one who got defensive when someone called you by your own username. Now you feel stupid and are trying to project your ignorance on to me. Chatting on message boards seems to be above your skill level. You should probably just stick to bragging about your penis size with others that share your low IQ.

All I know is these guys were SUPPOSED to be talented coming out of HS. We were projected a final four team after Sarr got eligible. What's happened? I don't go into a game now expecting to win, terrible feeling to have about your team. I'm hoping Lucas is a better talent evaluator than what we have know.

If you can’t see the talent on this years team you need to quit watching basketball. And I’m not talking about just Boston I’m talking there is talent 8 9 deep on this team and they are all long and athletic. And I bet they can shoot when they are open and in rhythm

Well when you make $10 million per year and can sign just about any player in the country, you need to be able to put a contender on the court every year.

Poor fundamentals are a reflection of the coach. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a player have the opportunity to seal the baseline on a guy driving the ball that ended up in an and 1 or a foul. But Cal wants blocked shots. Same thing with offensive rebounds we’re giving up. When the weak side defender is always leaving his man to come flying through the air trying to block a shot it’s a gamble. Sure you block some shots, but you’re going to give up some rebounds too.
So is it the players and fundamentals, or the coaches philosophy? You have to adjust to your talent. But it won’t happen.
