Where does this game rank compare to 2001 BYU?

As far as how bad the officiating goes, I think BYU was blatantly worse.

As far as impact on the season, this one was far worse. We weren't going bowling in 01, but yesterday could be the difference between a great bowl and meh bowl.

I haven't seen any game as badly officiated as that. My favorite car was one of our wide receivers caught a pass for a first down and when he got up he just made the first down motion with his arm and they called him for unsportsmanlike conduct and put it back 15 from the original start.

I knew that they were going to make sure BYU escaped Starkville still undefeated.

Plus the dark horse shot of winning the West. A&M won and Bama looked bad, so would have loved to still have had that as a possibility

Damn I know it’s been 20 years ago but surely you can’t compare that BYU home game to this one last night ??
Not even on the same planet when comparing the two.
That BYU game was completely fixed from the get go.
Officials blatantly made sure BYU won that game and did everything they could to make certain they won that game!

This one reminded me more of 1981 Ole Miss game. The phantom DPI. The first down inside the 10, and the TD to lose.
