Pretty much the same as i see it,Cam needs more focus, two games in a row saddled with 4 fouls,RJ needs to not try to do it all by himself,Tre is the guy who needs the ball late,he will decide whats the best option.5-1 after 6 games,3 against top 10 teams,2 in 3 days,i'd say we're off to a good start, once we gel, watch out

I hated the loss because it was there for the taking and would have been huge for the resume. With that said, I feel better about this team coming out of the tournament than last year's, which won the tournament for two reasons.

This year, Duke steam rolled SDSU and controlled top 10 Auburn throughout and almost came back to beat a quality Zag team. Last year's team played like **** against a nobody, should have lost to TX and probably should have lost to Florida.

And this year's team has Tre Jones. No doubt in my mind if he had initiated the offense with under a minute to go they either win or are in OT.

We can be special. This team is really good. Like I said, I didn't expect this. Barrett and Reddish are legit. They know I'm sure what to work on. Tre and Jack are steady. Bolden, Delaurier and O'Connell have to be more consistent.

Zion plays with so much energy. Mr Do it All. The passion he plays with is more incredible than his athletic ability.

This team looks like they have fun. That is so critical. We've been blessed with so much talent over the last few seasons, seems about time for everything to click. Plus, it sure looks like K is having fun.

We stand in the same position. Just won’t go undefeated like the media hyped us up to be. We will lose a couple more games (hopefully not the FSU game I’ll be at) but we’re really young and learning. We definitely need to start evening out the shot attempts between Zion RJ and Cam. RJ is taking too many more shots than everyone else. Tre has to just make sure he spread the wealth a little more. He’s doing a great job. I see a lot of Tyus in him. That halfcourt buzzer beater showed me all I needed to see. We’re in great shape and we will only get better. We’re trying to run a read and react NBA system with 18 year olds. It’s going to have rough patches against quality teams early. I like the teams heart though

Shoot! I still love this team! This team is very very special. Can’t say it enough, to play as poorly as we did in the first half, ESPECIALLY on defense, and then to be able to put it somewhat together in the second half for a chance to win is absolutely incredible!

The 4 freshmen are something special. The play of Bolden, Jack, & Javin puts us in great shape coming off the bench. The one piece left to really make us into the team we can be is Alex! If he comes around we will be in great shape!

IMO, Duke stands in the same place now as they were before Maui, just with a little more battle experience. A great team with a lot of upside with the potential to play a game in April. But not before losing some games along the way. No matter how much they were being hyped, this team has always had things to work on, and will still going forward.

Nice post hart. I really like this team and I am looking forward to watching them grow. It will be interesting to monitor the chemistry of the team as the season progresses.
I think the Staff will figure things out, and I also believe the players will stick together. We just need to enjoy the ride, cause IT'S GONNA BE OK!"
Go Duke!

We need a little more from Alex and Javin. Javin mostly needs to calm down ala Marshal and Alex needs to improve on his D. If that happens, we can very comfortably play small and big ball depending on matchups and gives plenty of depth.
Tre needs to improve his FT%. That would give us 2 guards on the perimeter to handle the ball in late game situations.

RJ, Zion, and Cam need to learn to be a little more patient on O and take what the D gives them. They need to realize that they can score just as much, if not more by taking less, but better shots and punishing teams for double teaming/ helping out.

I'm OK with it. Sure beating Gonzaga would have been great but surely we were not going to be undefeated. There are things we need to work on. Better all around defense, free throw shooting, getting back on defense after a made basket, Jav, Alex and Goldwire giving us a little more. I'm not too worried about Alex. We know he can drain it but if he comes in and scores 12 points but the man he's guarding scores 15 then he needs to work on that. Javin is Javin. You know he works hard but his offense just doesn'the seem to improve but he hustles, gets rebounds and his motor runs the whole time he's on the court. It would be nice to see Goldwire step it up but it may be his senior year before we see him make a difference. Jack is amazing. We should become a very good if not a great team come March. I really think we are a really good team right now but we are going to have some off nights. OFC
