Kai Orine Just knocked of Latona to take the ACC title. He’s been ahead of Shawver all season. I could see him getting the 4th seed over Shawver.

My gut is he gets 5th but after an impressive B1G tournament who knows.

This and Shawver has a loss to Latona.. 5th seed makes the most sense to me..

Yup… was going to mention. Of course that was early in the season and Dylan is a different wrestler now, but Orine has done nothing to deserve a drop.

Nasir Bailey Is the wild card but I can’t see how they justify keeping him above Shawver when comparing conferences and strength of their matchups.

Definitely want to be in the 4/5 matchup I think. If you’re looking ahead, I’d rather draw the opposite 4/5 in the quarters rather than one of the big 3. In this case I don’t think there’s much of a difference being in the top or bottom half of the bracket as Vito and Crookham are both elite

I believe Shawver is elite also... If he believes/prepares/wrestles like it.... Watch out!!!!! He teched an elite wrestler.... And that wasn't a fluke!!!

5 to 7 seed for Shawver. Should leapfrog Ragusin b/c conference champion but maybe not. Ragusin has 2 wins over him, has more quality wins and beat opponents in common by larger margins. Also beat Wells who beat Shawver. Bailey doesn’t have many quality wins but no real bad losses either. Lost to Vito and Dom Serrano (Serrano beat Wells but one of his four losses is to Max Hermes) and hasn’t lost since Jan 1. Against opponents in common, Bailey beat Chlebove by a wider margin and Romney by a similar margin. Shawver has 5 losses Ragusin x 2, Latona, then the Minnesota kid Wells and the Army kid Basile but more good wins and wins count more than losses I believe. As long as he has a safe match coming off the scale the rest will work itself out.

I figured 5 to 7 would be where Shawver was seeded.
I Would love a #5 Seed,

Also, Dean Peterson/Yara's seeds are very important to their potential AA runs.

Does Yara get a #8 seed?
Does Dean get a top #8 seed?

IMO, Yara can beat anyone but the top 4,5 in Heavyweight.

Going to be a fun ride (Hopefully)

No, Dean and Yara won’t get a top 8 seed.. I’d guess around the 12-15th range

I’m not too hung up on seeds honestly. You can be a 4 and get a 29 seed from the big 10 or be a 15 seed and face someone from Roast Beef State. All about the matchups.

Better seed better chance at favorable matchups tho… agreed that 125 the seeds won’t matter as much as that weight is total chaos

And hard to complain about your draw when you are seeded 16th or higher. Yea Soldano has a kid that has beat him twice.....if you want an "easier" draw...do not be the 21 seed. The tournament is brutal and is not easy
I agree but yeah, why do need to see a 3rd matchup between Soldano and Bullock? Could have easily avoided it.

I think Peterson has a pretty good draw. Let's face it, if you cannot beat Unger then you are not going to AA. Then the 1 seed, who you lost to in OT(and if there was replay, might have won the bout).
True that’s a good way to look at it.. hopefully the PSU 125 curse kicks in and karma kicks in for Peterson getting screwed… winner of this sees McKee/figs in semis… there is a path in this wide open weight….

Because if you manipulate the "seeds" to avoid Big10 vs Big10 matches than you are not seeding the bracket based on criteria. When the Big10 gets 8,9, 10 or 11 kids in a 33 man bracket...you are going to have Big vs Big matchups
