Interesting. I grew up in Pitt County and have family in Wayne County. Moved to Northern Virginia about 8 years ago. Man I’m ready for some 60’s and 70’s. It’s been an absolutely brutal summer here in the Carolinas. The heat and humidity are unreal. Give me spring and fall and do away with winter and summer. I guess our winter would seem balmy to you though.Boy....that's a loaded question for Minnesota.
It kind of depends what you mean by 'chilly' too. It's pretty cold from mid-December through February. The heat and humidity can be pretty rough June through August. Spring and fall are the best, though. I'm an upper-60s to mid-70s kind of guy....so those are my favorites. But it can be extreme, too. Last fall we were pretty much done golfing by the end of October because of the cold, and this past spring we got a foot of snow in the middle of April. Meanwhile, the year prior we golfed until almost mid-December and the temps were in the 70s by early March.
I'll just say this....after what we experienced last winter, we're in for something more mild this year.
