Interesting. I grew up in Pitt County and have family in Wayne County. Moved to Northern Virginia about 8 years ago. Leesburg and then Great Falls most recently.

You know, you actually do appreciate it when you leave. But you have to leave haha. You don’t get treasures like downtown, the wharf, and Gypsy Hill just anywhere though.

DJ, when does it typically start getting chilly there?

Boy....that's a loaded question for Minnesota. ;)

It kind of depends what you mean by 'chilly' too. It's pretty cold from mid-December through February. The heat and humidity can be pretty rough June through August. Spring and fall are the best, though. I'm an upper-60s to mid-70s kind of guy....so those are my favorites. But it can be extreme, too. Last fall we were pretty much done golfing by the end of October because of the cold, and this past spring we got a foot of snow in the middle of April. Meanwhile, the year prior we golfed until almost mid-December and the temps were in the 70s by early March.

I'll just say this....after what we experienced last winter, we're in for something more mild this year.

Man I’m ready for some 60’s and 70’s. It’s been an absolutely brutal summer here in the Carolinas. The heat and humidity are unreal. Give me spring and fall and do away with winter and summer. I guess our winter would seem balmy to you though.

Right up my alley. Spring and fall. The problem here is, it rains every single day during spring, and fall lasts about a week.

World Series of Poker

Show I played in a circuit event up there about 4-5 years ago....tons of fun and a LOT of side games. Great sit n go action too. I’m jealous!

Cool. Hey, a guy who plays here at our local game just took one down ! Dom Dunn, he told me when he got to heads up(with a woman) they struck up a deal to chop. They agreed to chop and the overall winner got the ring, DOM WON ! Got a WSOP ring and 33,500.00. Not bad for a little weekend trip ! He would have gotten 46,000 if he hadn't agreed to chop.
