Where are the wins?

I’m probably an idiot for assuming, but I didn’t list Georgia Southern because I will chalk that up as a win. But can someone find me any other wins in this schedule?

Oklahoma
Indiana
@ Rutgers
@ Purdue
Illinois
Minnesota
@ Michigan
Wisconsin
@ Iowa

I’m at a loss, trying to find where the dumbest team, coached by the dumbest coaches in America can pull out some wins.

At this point, you have to take it a game at a time because you're not good enough to have the luxury of looking ahead. In fact this team probably just needs to take it a play at a time. So I'm not thinking about a single team on that list right now.

I think there’s maybe 2 wins in there, but that’s about it

Nebraska clearly practices poorly every week, since they play like garbage every week. So I think they beat Ga. Southern. After that - I’m not sure they beat anyone.

We don’t go 1vs1 in practices and that is why we are unconditioned and can’t tackle or take a hit in games..

Geez, what did you expect?

Us to do something radical like practicing tackling? Say like in the Spring Game?

You must be one of those 90’s loving radicals !!!

I'm not sure I'd chalk GA Southern up as an easy win at this point. Indiana, Illinois and Rutgers are possible wins. Rest are a long shot. Worst chance is OU/Michigan. Best chance maybe home against Minnesota. October 1st can't get here soon enough.

Maybe State Penn isn't great this year but Purdue nearly beat them. And frankly we've looked a hell of a lot worse than the Nits... Could see both those teams at 8-4 or 9-3 range. We ain't going into Purdue and winning at this point...

Two games in & it's hard for me to imagine that this team will even be as competitive as last year's team. It's depressing. I don't know where the wins might be.

I was basically ok with Alberts keeping Frost one more year as change is so disruptive and we seemed to be "close" but... yikes.

Our team will improve some as the year goes on. A new offense, lots of new players and they went full live tackling 11 on 11 in the spring and fall camp very little. So they will get better as they get used to going against 11 playing hard against them.

They should improve a lot (not saying much since they are so poor starting the year) but I figure Frost will hold them back somehow.

Just need to keep working and getting better. Lotta new faces on this team, need to keep working on complimentary football in all three phases. I really like our punter and kicker. Need to clean up D-line play and defensive alignments and I think we’ll be ok, not good. Also, have to get off the field on 3rd and longs. How many times has this defense given up 1st downs on 3rd and 10, 11, or 12! If we can get some kind of average run defense, we should beat several teams left on the schedule.

History shows us what we've seen is what we are, not good. I think our defense has taken a step back , both lines are average at best. Rescipe for another losing season. I see GSU and Rutgers as wins.

Illinois and Indiana both looked pretty bad. But I’m sure we will find a way to lose at least one of those games.

I still say 7-5. 8-4 if they fire frost now. Did we expect to come back from Ireland in 1 week and play great football against a top 8 team in the MVC? I mean come on people. These guys got back Sunday and it takes at least 6 days to recover out of country. Then they played the next day. Yeah it wasn’t pretty but they just got back from Ireland where the internet went out. If the internet went out on you who would post stupid stuff on the message boards? Let’s just give this team some time. We know Frost sucks but the players are still top 20-25 talent. Once we phase Frost out completely it will show.

my prediction was with frost. if for some reason they decide to fire frost mid season (which they wont) I would drop my prediction to 3-9

Offense usually gets better after 2-3 games...the defense should already be good enough and they aren't.

Rutgers just won on the road vs a middle of the ACC pack BC team. I would put that down as possible win. Indiana and Illinois are also possible wins.
