There is no rule in CBB that mandates you announce injuries or suspensions before game time. I imagine with legalized gambling coming that is likely to change, but for now odds are we will know at/shortly before tip off.

I'm not sure we knew Geo was returning until shortly before tip off of the IU game nor that he was going to miss time until shortly before the Nebraska tip.

If we were in this situation we would announce it 30 minutes before gametime like we did when Geo was out vs. Nebraska. Why tell us?

My guess is very likely no Livers, no idea on Simpson's suspension.

Also, for the record, pretty sure Ralph Sampson could still do some damage blocking/altering shots. 7'4" is 7'4".
