So you are telling us that Eichorst hired someone for 300K to watch a HC making 3 mil and make all the decisions and pull the strings? Eichorst was his own worst enemy but he would be beyond anything stupid to do this. I don't even know HS or small coaches who would do this.

That's exactly why he was hired. Why is it so hard to believe? SE basically hired a guy to do all his dirty work for him so he didn't have to look like the bad guy, even though he should have been able to do all that himself.

It doesn't absolve Riley from the responsibility of the football program. It's still Riley's *** if the football team does poorly even though he may have been forced into changes that did more harm than good.
