It didn't hurt our resume last year. Games like this give coaches a chance to work on things, experiment during game conditions as they prepare for Big 10 schedule.

Merrimack is a Catholic College in Massachusetts that was D-1 last season for the first time and they won 20 games. They are in the same conference as NJIT. They were D-2 for many years.

Guessing the lack of institutional control (recruiting violations, sexual assaults) for the Baylor Athletics Department does not affect their ability to participate in these kind of games. And these newer charges were on top of the scandals in the hoops programs a fairly long time ago, but within memory. Baylor Athletics has a tawdry past. Oh well.

There’s a reason they are ranked preseason #1. Pretty sure every preseason number has lost, so not unbeatable. But yeah, playing the #1 team is going to be very difficult.

Again, please don’t forget the murder their basketball program covered up. The worst of all those many transgressions.
